Bump.
Tonight, on unsolved mysteries, find out who gives a shit about bigfoot. UPDATE! Apparently nobody gives a shit so F*** HIM!
The question is, how fast can Bigfoot run a 5k?

does he get trainers or spikes?
why are we wasting our time on this thread when there are so many more threads with potential?
To the original poster of this topic, to identify the location of the trail head where you ran that day you spotted Bigfoot just post a Google Map with the location for those who wish to run/investigate the trail themselves. It sounds simple enough to me.
Is he not Kenyan?
I think scientists determined from a set of those plaster casts taken from his foot impressions deep in the mountains of Oregon that Bigfoot has flat arches and must wear a motion control shoe for heavier runners. That's why I saw him in a shoe store in Eugene buying a pair of New Balance 817's.
5k fine but Big Foot doesn't do 10k's, he's a Teg fan.
Actually Big Foot is probably a decendent of Giantpithicus which was a very large ape of the Orangatan Family found in southeast asia several hundred thousand years ago. Like early humans he probably mingrated over the Bearing Stratight and down into the present day North West US and Canada.
But if he shows up at any 5k race I'm in I'll give him plenty of room. Wouldn't want to trade elbows with him. Imagain that - and I thought the elbow Eric Henry (Ark) pasted on me at the Tyson Invitation ('89) was big time.
We gotta put up a wall at that damn bering strait.
I don't know about Bigfoot but I will say that anything is possible. Scientists keep discovering some strange animals in the depths of our oceans and unvisited forested areas. Heck, a recent Outside magazine article about the Mississippi River opened my eyes to the strange gar fish.

My own personal encounter with an unidentified species occurred earlier this year. I was driving my daughter back home though our town's residential neighborhoods in the early evening when a creature up ahead crossed the road. My first thought was that it was a domestic cat. As it crossed to the sidewalk and I got closer I had a better look at it and realized it wasn't a cat after all but more like a fox. Oddly, it didn't run away. So was able to get alongside this creature for a better look and it was neither a cat nor a fox. I've seen plenty of both to know the difference. The best description would be a hairless fox-cat hybrid standing about 20 inches high with long thin legs and a long thin hairless tail. It was a dirt-brown color and there were several large stripes along it lower back.
My 8 y.o. daughter saw it all too and was just as amazed.
I've looked online and in numerous books but can't identify this creature.
When people claim to see Bigfoot or UFOs I've never doubted the possibility and I'm not about to after my own encounter with a strange creature.

Definitely a chupacabra. Were any goats or sheep missing from around that neighborhood?
Hairless Coyote
Gars aren't found in the depths of the ocean, but I agree they are strange looking. They used to have one in the aquarium at the Fort Worth Zoo. It freaked me out as a kid. It's scary to think of what's in the ocean though. Like that giant squid they got video of recently. As far as the other creature you saw, the paranormal identification would indeed be el chupacabra. Where did you see it? Where do you live? I have an idea of an actual animal (not alien) that it is, but I need to know where you saw it.

Couldn't be a fox with mange, could it? (http://www.hiltonpond.org/images/FoxRedMange01.jpg)
Naw... obviously, it's some heretofore unknown beast! That's the logical answer!
Could be this...
