What a stupid f***ing statement that makes no sense at all. How exactly does one "be respectful" while booing said teen. You have no problem with the boos? They were booing the person, there was no policy running on the track. They were yelling "cheater" and all sorts of vile insults - AT THE PERSON! If you had a single brain cell and an ounce of compassion, you would realize that you can be of the position that the policy is wrong as is the booing. To advocate booing a child makes you a complete piece of sh*t!

You could have just disagreed withe rojo's position instead of cursing and insulting him. I think that ranting and insulting do not help your position at all. In fact, I might agree with your position, but I certainly do not agree with your insults and cursing to express it.

To state that he's fine with booing a child disqualifies him from being anything other than a piece of sh*t. I wonder how USATF feels about his open endorsement of booing kids at Hayward Field and how it will effect getting credentialled in the future. Just sent a screenshot of his post to the people that do the credentials at USATF.

Pretty shocking this thread is locked down. I’ve been coming to this site for over twenty years. It’s a shame this place is so pro censorship. It’s absolutely ridiculous. This is an absolute scandal in our sport that has been going on for years and it’s finally impacting lots of young women.

I can recall being down voted and laughed at years ago for having a hard line stance on this. Now there is basically a new one of these mentally ill boys stomping on girls every other week.

A biologically born male, is not a transgender female.

He's either a male, or a transgender (male), but a male can not be a girl or a female.

If he wants to call himself a girl or a sissy or whatever, I don't care.

But personally I'm not going to call a biological boy a girl, because doing so would be offensive and degrading to all real girls and women. We should all be supporting women and women's rights, not trying to degrade and tear them down by supporting biologically born males in girls athletic programs.

I agree that ontologically, before God, Gallagher is and will always be male. With that said, I think it's significant when even people who don't necessarily have firmly-held traditional religious or philosophical beliefs are increasingly coming out against the more extreme manifestations of gender ideology. Just as, e.g., it's helpful for the pro-life cause to have some pro-life secularists/atheists on side, it's helpful for the anti-gender ideology movement to have secular and some otherwise liberal/progressive voices on board, even if they're not as consistent as we'd like.

Now that I've reflected on it, I do think that although Doug Binder's editorial was terrific overall, his argument that this wasn't "safe" because of the need for police etc. may be its Achilles heel even more than Rojo pointed out. Detractors could in fact draw parallels with the initial public disquiet around desegregation in baseball etc. decades ago, and say, "see, trans rights really IS the new civil rights issue of our time." The article's argument there could unfortunately overshadow the many excellent points it makes around fairness. So I think we should avoid that kind of argument going forward.

It's bonkers this hasn't been resolved 5 years after that fiasco in Connecticut. Everyone saw this coming.

So where are all the other trans athletes in this track meet? Didn't you tell us there were "a handful" of trans athletes at every school in your state? So far, only one athlete has been reported. Why isn't Reduxx doxxing all the others?

1. Try to change the OSAA policy through their normal procedure.

2. Sue OSAA on behalf of girls who were displaced by this trans athlete.

3. Propose a state-wide ban in the state legislature.

4. Elect GOP majority in both House and Senate, plus Trump to pass a federal law.

#4 will be struck down by the federal court. So you need to replace all those Libs and RINO's on the court with M@G@ loyalists.

#3 is not likely to happen given the current political climate in Oregon.

So I'd say try #1 and #2 at the same time and see where it takes you.

This issue does not get resolved because one side is not willing to accept any exception. Any compromise is a sign of weakness in their ideology.

Just a reminder that our best female 1500/5000 athlete is currently banned for trace amounts of nandrolone.

But somehow this is allowed.

She is allowed to run non-sanctioned events. Didn't she win a road 10k race and take prize money away from a clean athlete?

In addition to getting their names listed first, girls and women also have the right to cross the finish line first. Having won a small number of races myself (I'm a woman and mom of three daughters), it's an amazing experience. It's an especially great experience in a women only race when you actually get to be the first one across the line. I LOVE that feeling. Trans athletes shouldn't rob the best female athletes of the thrill of crossing the line first. So a solution that puts trans athletes on the same track at state championships as girls, even if they don't get listed first in the results, is not the right solution.

This is all as much of a claim, if not moreso, as being transgender. But feel free to link all your posts defending women athletes 10+ years ago in the absence of transgenders.

I appreciate the rational approach but I don’t believe #4 is possible and it’s likely to always be a state by state decision.
