Adult fails again. No man, I studied artic ice at a lab. Clear evidence.

PhDs on BOTH side is meaningless without understanding that vast majority of "PhDs" are on my side AND the relevant of their PhDs is not suspect.

Getting unbiased statements about science from politicians is suboptimal.

Getting your talking points from wherever you found something dubious John Kerry said in 2009 is also suboptimal if you want to attain objective understanding of the science.

What Kerry (and Gore) said is something like "some scientists say the Arctic will be ice free as soon as 2014 (or whatever)" which isn't exactly false (Wieslaw Maslowski is the citation), but it wasn't ever the mainstream projection.

These threads inevitably devolve into political talking points largely disconnected from any attempt at real understanding.

I already understand the science. What to do about climate change is a political question, and John Kerry is as mainstream as it gets. Why shouldn't he be expected to get it right?
