From the NCAA's official website: "Katelyn Tuohy entered college as one of the most hyped recruits of the early 2020s after a record-setting high school career. All she's done since is exceed expectations."
I am still competing at the highest level. And you are one who never competed at the highest level and ar envious of us who did compete at the highest level . got it!
Well yes she's a pro now since she signed that NIL deal with Nike. But even with the sophisticated methods there still is a risk, thus the derogatory remarks toward other posters and any of her potential competitors. Could this be any more obvious. I think not.

She has won some NCAA championships but has won them in mediocre times. Let's temper our enthusiasm in proclaiming her the greatest female distance runner of all time. She is a solid collegiate runner but slow down on putting her in the Runner's Hall of Fame just yet. She has a chance to be a solid professional runner, but who knows?!? She has maybe already plateued. She could maybe do some pacing duties, a la Eric Jenkins, for the professional female runners. She is NOt ready for any Diamond League races. no where close. She is a solid collegiate runner but is a minute behind the fastest female runners for the 5000.
You're making a generalization with "our". It's not a sportswide consensus that she's the female distance GOAT. The "our" is a select crowd who obsessively hype her up, overextend accomplishments, have insane expectations. These people don't care about "the process" it takes to make it to a global final.
As a response to this select crowd you've deemed as "our" who post every day here, you manage a way to put down Touhy in the process. How many titles and records does she need to get to prove she's not platued? What history has indicated she's going to make one world team and unfortunately struggle with a series of injuries after (a la Eric Jenkins)?
What top NCAA female runners in the past have been ready for the diamond league of today? Who are these females runnerS going 14:03? You're like the same people you're generalizing as "our", but negative with no reason. It's worse. Congrats on the clicks though!

She's an all-time great within her category of US college runners. In global terms, even for her age, she's only solid. Nadia Battocletti ran 14:46 at the same age Tuohy is now. Beatrice Chebet ran 14:46 at 19, Zola Budd ran 14:48 at 19.
That''s why I don't think she should go pro until she has to. She isn't going to be competitive at the pro level. She hasn't got a chance of making the US team for Budapest, she'd do well to finish 6th in the 5000 at the trials. So, she might as well just enjoy cleaning up at NCAAs for another year.
The problem is no one can tell that is real with EPO floating around. Battocletti had a miraculous Olympic year turn around, going from 15:40s to low 15:00s to 14:46 in a matter of months. Whether or not that is related to her being coached by her father, who was busted for doping in 1999, and Italy's generally lax attitude on the subject, is an intriguing question. LOL.
So lets do a projection. Take last weeks effort, even one that followed some adversity, add EPO and the cocktail of other chemicals, and 15:03 becomes ,say, 14:40 or 14:30s. That's the level of impact, unfortunately. That is why I ignore global terms.
