BTC has sponsors.. they can build their own track. Problem solved.
Right? Do NFL teams negotiate with the local HS to get some time on the field after 5pm on tuesdays? No! They build, maintain, and use private facilities. And they still get the taxpayers to fund them! Genius.
Nike has a track on campus however BTC has training camps all over the World. They can’t build a track at every place they go.
Is it true what Kevin Hanson said that all professional teams have a liability waiver that they can provide to a local High School? I mean do teams like Roots, Minnesota Elite, Mckirdy, Tinman, all have insurance?

I seriously doubt that any of them do.
It's easy for them to get via USATF, and in fact is a big reason most of them bother registering as USATF clubs.

ok fair. Football teams have to travel too, and use other facilities owned by other entities. They plan ahead, figure it out, and formally secure the facilities their athletes need. I think the main difference here is we see pro runners as grassroots poor people. Which might be a fair assessment of the athletes themselves. But their overlords have the $. They at least have enough resources and personnel to negotiate a formal agreement to regularly use the public facilities in the places where they are holding their altitude camps.

I agree with you. There is no excuse for not securing the facility prior to travel. And any idiot coach that think it’s okay to ride a bike on a track should be shot. Riding a bike on a track is never okay.
then they're really not a professional team. Find a new hobby.
This. Reminds me of my days coaching a team at a small private high school, with no track on campus. We were constantly beating the bushes trying to find either (1) A track whose fees we could afford, or (2) A track where we could just walk on without anyone either noticing or caring.
The fact that a pro running team is operating in the same way is crazy!

And I'm betting your team didn't go around taking dumps on the track either. This "pro" team should be held responsible for aggravated public indecency and disbanded.
I can’t imagine that any of them don’t. No one would expose themselves to the liability of coaching for or serving on the board of any of these organizations if they weren’t insured. Whether the policy will meet a school’s requirements for use of their facility is TBD (which is before we even get into school policies about outside groups using their track during school hours, insurance or no, or charging fees of said groups).
Anonymous sources from the inside have confirmed to me that it was not BTC with poopgate. All sources point towards the French Canadians that were there a few weeks ago.
Sam Parsons desperately grasping for attention with 5 straight tweets about this situation, like the obnoxious attention hog he is. Ruining Drew Hunter's career by chasing clout was never enough for him.
and he wonders why people hate on TME. Dude has the maturity of a 12 year old.
Parsons is a tragicomic figure. All the energy he's put forth to fail at every objective.
Schools could make it easier by having some sort of bathroom facilities open to public or at least having a serviced port o potty on site, but these days school security is super tight (it’s the year 2022 and we now have to deal with fears of suspected pedophiles, kidnappers, school shooters etc) so that means entering a public school to use facilities or even just to say hi to a former high school teacher is near impossible. so a school’s approach seems to be not to have any of that, so it’s only fitting that many runners these days will just do the deed either directly on the track or under some bleachers or something. It didn’t have to be this way, but welcome to Generation Z track & field.

Ummm, do you realize how many public bathrooms are shuttered due to the homeless.
A New Mexico man is hoping to identify the jogger who he says has pooped next to his home at least four times since April. “This is malicious fecal distribution,” the man said.
Jerry Schumacher claims that he has never heard of poop before. Shalane Flanagan has no idea how the poop got there. The BTC team all stand behind their teammate stating that the pooper would never poop illegally because that’s not who they are. All upcoming races will be dedicated to their friend that was unjustly accused of pooping outside of Sedona High School rules.
Track and school grounds are paid by local, state taxpayers designed for high school kids. Period. I can understand the odd parent or elderly adult walking around lane 8 but:
Why pro athletes are allowed at any public high school track, for free, is the bigger question?
Excuse me? As long as they are lawful citizens paying their taxes, it shouldn’t matter. It it technically public property and everyone should have the right to use it. The only exception is if the high school team wants is actively holding practice, then they should be able to restrict use. Otherwise, it should be publicly accessible.

They do in fact do this. Sedona track has had it where you have to reserve the track and pay for your time there since Covid began. Unfortunately some stupid French Canadians decided to poop next to the track, and that was the cherry on top for the district to ban use of the track after many issues with out of townies disrespecting the facilities. You can't even use the local high school tracks in Flagstaff because a few years back some foreigners did a track workout on the track during school hours and took out a kid during a PE class.

Don’t let the truth get in the way of a good story.
