i ran hs cross w siblings that had a last name that started with bal and we called both the guy and girl (they were three years apart) balls. it wasnt weird, idk what your deal is. kids get nick names its fine. if she had a problem with it that would be different but this is a super dumb thing for you to want to intervene on
