Gabby Thomas 3 missed whereabouts tests

Btw, although I agree with the 3 strikes rule, but even if any athlete does miss 3 test, it does not necessarily mean they are doping. They could be doping, but I think they could just as well be negligent or stupid. Even Seb Coe and few other prominent people have admitted there are issues with the whereabouts system. AIU anticipates and welcome's appeals to whereabout failures and if you can make a good case, you can get one overturned. The 2 major problems with the whereabouts system is the simple fact that 'some' young adults with an active lifestyle lack the maturity and discipline to meet the requirements. Unfortunately, when you have been a star athlete since high school, you have had a cadre of people doing things for you, but these people don't live with you and can't make sure you are always where you need to be when testers show up. The other problem is the testers are not as professional as they need to be. The testers are not highly paid career minded individuals executing their job with the up most integrity, diligence and professionalism.

With that said, I do think 3 'true' whereabouts failures should trigger a ban.

It’s a pretty obvious case here but I’m fine with it. Lets not ruin anymore athletes or potential stars. This sport needs all they can get along with all the Jamaicans of course.

These whereabouts things are always stupid anyway. It's highly improbably that someone misses 3 tests in a relatively short space of time and has only been not where they should have been 3 times. That's almost impossibly unlucky.

To miss 3 tests like this, you would have to be not where you were supposed to be an awful lot of times, but on those other occasions you weren't selected for testing.

Get over it. She admits that she missed twice in a short period of time. Clean athletes never miss. But she is so dumb that she missed twice which set her up to be banned if she makes a mistake along the way. Is she really dumb or is she avoiding being caught? I assumed going to Harvard meant she wasn't dumb but you are saying she isn't guilty which means she is just dumb.

Because there is no way that stupid party story is true. I think these cheating athletes really think everyone is as dumb as them believing these nonsensical party and burrito type stories. Gabby is as fishy (or offal) as Shelby. Her drop in time as others pointed out is unrealistic without dope

All the explanations, pointing figures, excuses, etc. are meaningless. Quite simply, she is a doper. Plain and simple.

Two missed tests, then a 22.63. Over a year later is when we get the 2nd fastest 200 in history. That being said, I don't blame people for automatically assuming she's doping or looking at the case with bias / cynicism.

She was banned in May, provided evidence in June. That seems a reasonable amount of time. The new evidence was phone tracking and eye witnesses. New evidence makes it sound like there was a hearing and then another one. There likely is a time frame for submitting evidence.

I believe she was at the required location when the tester showed up. I don't need phone tracking or eyewitness accounts to prove that.

The problem is she purposely hid from the tester because she knew she would test POSITIVE for performance enhancing drugs. She was probably hiding under her bed. All you have to do is not answer the door.

The decision to let her off the hook for final whereabouts is sketchy at best. Perhaps the tester did fail to fully make an effort to locate her BUT word is she was hiding so that is why this exception loop hole must be closed. A guilty athlete will always say, I was there but you didn’t try hard enough. I have heard too much conflicting stories from people close to her.

Having a party on the day you were going to be tested and conviently didn’t hear them? cmon.. I will never think she was clean. Funny how she got away with it yet a few others since can’t!! They riding on the fact that she went to Harvard and has to be innocent. She did what she needed to secure a contract/commercials.. note she doesn’t win by much when she does but it doesn’t matter she already secured the bag !!
