I think I might be on the cusp of finally quitting. I'm curious what are the typical mental stages leading up to it.
July, 2019 at age 59 years, 2 months. Had a heart attack. I was engulfed by a sea of bewilderment wondering how that could happen to a guy that was in excellent shape for his age. I would have definitely quit if it happened after I turned 60, but I came back and my 5K is down to 27:55.
I often tell myself that it is the distance that matters and walking would accomplish the same goal, but I continue to run. At age 60 years, 3 months, it is turning into a game. In the event of a 2nd heart attack, that could kill me.
What good is being alive if you can't run down the street.
If I post my email address, will you contact me? I have some questions about how you are doing and what happened. Thanks!
