Cohabitation brings with it no legal recognition in the state of Georgia, so the third person would have no legal protection like a wife upon dissolution. This sort of thing was indeed predicted by conservatives during the gay marriage debate. However, it was based on the slippery slope argument, as were various other alleged entailments of accepting gay marriage. The slippery slope argument is fallacious. To authorize gay marriage wasn't like other things it was compared to because it involved two consenting (human!) adults. So, to allow marriage between two consenting adults of the same gender did not authorize marriage between three consenting adults of the same or different genders. Nor did it authorize non-consenting relations or relations with beings unable to consent. Now, accepting the principle of consent, which might be thought to apply to any number of adults, would authorize such relations. Add non-harm, and you still exclude any number of other voluntary relationships, including voluntary slavery (or slavery for a price) or harmful sexual relations. You are also always free to limit the principle of consent by adding other conditions related to principles of harm and social welfare. I assume that in addition to religious reasons, polygamy has been frowned upon because it might be thought to decrease women's power.

This Stephanie person is not married to either of them. Nothing illegal about it. Odd that conservatives are ones who typically want FREEDOM. Nothing more free than being able to love the adult person or even persons you want to love. Polygamy is a discussion for another day though. They are adults and are free to do as they please. But I get the feeling that this is just an arrangement to keep Amy from having to leave Andrew for Stephanie. It seems like it is the instinctive "but I still want to be friends" that girls always give guys when they want to see someone else.
But if they are all having a roll together, then I guess party on.

Ya. There just is no way to know the power dynamic until someone inevitably gets hurt and does a tell all. I hope it's all consentual and they are just adults, having their best lives, but man I wouldn't be surprised by any news out of this situation.

He's let Trump ruin 4 years of his life in Ohio, for what? I do 5 things wrong before I get out of bed in the morning, but at least I can admit. As for the 3-some, or whatever it is...everyone posts everything these days to be known/heard and hopefully make a dime off of it by getting it to Ellen's producers or some other outlet that feels they can make a buck as well. A long time ago, you'd never hear about this stuff, they wanted to keep it secret...but now they take pictures and display it with pride. Me confuses???

You're not confused. Being a pro runner these days is as much about being a social media personality as running fast times, unless you are world top 10 ranked. Being queer is in. While there is nothing wrong with it, being queer on social media will jet you ahead of others in the field in terms of media exposure, clicks, sponsorships, etc. There is no way AYB couldn't have posted this. If Andrew or Stephanie wanted out, or if Andrew said he were being abused, cuckolded, or whatever, he'd be vilified by the running media at worst and a footnote at best. Nowhere would he be considered brave, unlike Stephanie and Amy. I'm not saying anything like that is happening, these guys could be having the happiest 3somes in the world for all I know, but if they weren't, that is what would happen. I hope Andrew is happy, because he has no winning move otherwise.
Perhaps true. If you’re normal, which there is a definition, you are an outlier. In a simpler time people had shame, not much of that anymore. From the shaggy hair, body odor, flap gut, or the bizarre patterns of tattoos. Anything goes. The weirder, the better. Heck yea I am judgmental. I think that person lacks self-respect, so why should anyone give it. Society is broken in many ways.

That's my point. You might think such things are fine, whereas I would think they're degenerate and disgusting and would have nothing to do with people who are involved in such errant behaviors.
