You mean Paul Ryan.

Even if he did it, it was 36 years ago, can't a person redeem himself, I mean everyone considers Malcolm X a hero, and was a pimp, a drug dealer, he robbed houses etc, yet he redeemed himself and is considered a national hero. Why the Double Standard.
I mean Kavanaugh probably has a cleaner record than over 80% of the people on this thread, I have made mistakes in the past, how come the media is not talking about the wrongs I have done, as much as Kavanaugh is being accused of, I HAVE ACTUALLY DONE WRONG BEFORE, not just accused of, I actually DID SOME BAD THINGS in my life, I know most wont believe me and I have no proof, But yes I have done wrong before, WHY AM I NOT SCRUTINIZED AS MUCH AS KAVANAUGH for the wrongs I did 36 or so years ago, are they going to hold what I have done wrong and not allow me to work?
I believe in EQUALITY, and I see Kavanaugh being held to a higher standard than me or even Malcolm X, EVERYONE HAS TO BE HELD TO THE SAME STANDARD.
I suspect there are a good number of sex criminals on here supporting Kavanaugh. There are only three reasons to support him: 1) Roe v. Wade; 2) pro-corporate sympathies; 3) women haters/criminal sex offenders. I have read many of you guys for years. Very few of you give a care one way or another regarding Roe v. Wade. I have read many of you on letsrun supporting the little guy harmed by corporations. Kavanaugh always sides with corporations versus individuals. This kind of post from D.B. may encourage F.B.I. to give a look into his unsolved crimes.

The FBI could knock this down in two, three days tops.
The fact that the FBI is not actively pursuing this speaks volumes. Look for Rolling Stone or Vice or someplace like that digging into Kavanaugh now. The House and Senate will flip in the midterms, and you'll see the first-ever impeachment of a Supreme Court Justice.
Your delusional.
You're not a good speller.

I expect that Collins and Murkowski are now racing to the nearest microphone to see who can be the first to support Flake's call for the limited FBI investigation.
Looks like Murkowski is the winner. That was quick, as I expected.

I like beer.
Only true patriots wouldn't want to know the truth, or follow a logical process. Yeah, just ram it through, like a true patriot would.
Sickos.

This is what should have happened well before now. How could we not open something this serious to an FBI investigation? If Kavanaugh has nothing to hide then that will come out of it. It seemed utterly ridiculous to take a vote after a credible woman comes forward, with notes going back to 2012 telling her therapist about the sexual assault, and tells her story to just the judiciary committee. People like Mark Judge need to be interviewed. Our Supreme Court Justices should be morally outstanding people. If Dr. Ford is telling the truth, he should not get the position.
The Republicans were hoping they could bypass all of the steps to make the general public 100% sure that Kavanaugh didn't do it. That is as political as it gets.
I have no idea how Republican men believe Kavanaugh at a clip of 61% to 5%. That is a real number. Ya'll think thought that before Dr. Ford spoke & before an FBI investigation was called for. That is stunning. Just tell the truth -- you only care about getting yourselves a justice or you just hate women plain and simple to believe a man 61-5 over a woman in a "he said she said."

And Joe Manchin. He needs a really good excuse to not vote for Kavanaugh since he's up for re-election
Manchin (and this goes for Heitkamp too if she hasn't already said she is a no) will not vote to confirm Kavanaugh unless the Republicans have the 50 votes on their own. In other words they are not going to put the nomination over the top. One or both may vote for him if he already has the votes, but I tend to think they have the cover to vote NO at this point and the downsides of voting yes are greater.

This was in 2012 and she was concerned at that time that he might one be nominated to the Supreme Court? Seems a bit strange to have made that connection in 2012, I don't think he was on anyone's radar back then.
Kavanaugh was a DC Circuit judge in 2012. This is the second highest court in the land. Anyone on that court is a potential Supreme Court nominee. So that's not a strange inference at all. This would definitely have been on Dr. Ford's radar.
He wasn't just a D.C. Circuit judge. He was arguably the most famous and respected judge in the country at that time, at least among people who had any shot at the Supreme Court (so excluding Boudin, Kozinski, Posner, Easterbrook).
