Trump may be serious about Greenland if Greenland is wiling to have a suitor, but is he really going to go “take” Canada and the Panama Canal, or is it just tough talk and bluster to force some concessions from two trading partners whose militaries we essentially subsidize and whose international and monetary commitments are generally lacking…?

obviously war is a spectrum. But I think it's obvious that right now we are as far as we've been in a generation from 'nation at war' status. Proxy wars are just that. We are not at war right now, for the first time in a long long time. Others are doing the fighting, not US troops.

As for whether we want, as you say Trump is, a president who speaks loudly and carries no stick, destroying the country's future trustworthiness by threatening things and then not carrying out anything...well ok if that's what you want vote for it. Seems really bad to me and will bite us when we have to threaten someone in the future for a just reason and they don't believe our bark anymore.

But if you think Trumpo is speaking loudly AND carrying a big stick, ready to back up his threats with guns... you are a pro-war neo-con. Not what I heard from m'aga on what it wants in the WH.

Regarding the bolded section above, it's funny when Trump, on top of ALL of his other massive shortcomings, pretends that he's actually competent.

I'm sure that the Generals are DYING to hear his plans for resolving the situation.
