Besides the high prices to refuel and inability to park it anywhere else other than an open field, it is very inconvenient. That’s one reason despite over a century of hype and government push they only account for 2% of auto sales. 😂😂😂 In 1990 CA mandated that 10% of vehicles be electric by 2003 and incentives citizens to buy. But here you are lying again. Even with the recall, Chevy says I can charge at home. Soon, they will announce that I'm getting a new battery free of charge. At that point my 2017 Bolt basically becomes a 2021 Bolt.

So the car has saved me $2000 per year in gas vs. electricity since 2017. And now I'm getting a brand new car for free.

My other car is a Tesla Model Y, which is so popular it is sold out through October. And resale prices are so strong that I could sell it now for more than I paid.

Everybody wants EV's right now. The pre-orders just for electric trucks in the US is now close to 2 million.

Sales of EV's are through the roof, growing much faster than sales of gas cars. The only reason we aren't seeing even higher sales is because the factories can't ramp production fast enough.

EV's are taking over because more and more people realize that if you buy a new gas car you are an idiot.

The facts are that EV's are quickly gaining in popularity and there is nothing the oil companies can do about it.

Even companies like GM and VW have announced they will stop making gas powered cars. Of course, they will probably go bankrupt trying to make the switch. But Tesla is happy to take their market share, which is already happening.

BTW, you still have a chance to make a boatload of money on TSLA stock like I have.

I've taken many long trips in my Bolt and the experience was fine. Sounds like the author's experience was fine as well but there are many things that could improve. With Biden's new initiatives, the charging infrastructure will improve dramatically.

But like the article says, right now you are better off in a Tesla. It's true that Tesla's charging infrastructure is well ahead of the competition.

Gas cars don’t have all those issues. One important one being able to park wherever one wants - especially n a garage or near buildings, people, other vehicles or any other combustible materials. 😂😂😂😂

Paying 3x gas prices is ridiculous. And it will only go up from there with taxes, regulations, demand of EVs ever take hold. It’s been tried for more than 100 years maybe this time it’s going to happen. 😂😂😂😂 until then enjoy paying just 3x gas prices to charge and waiting hours for it to happen and being sure to park in an empty field somewhere.
