I guess during the autopsy the LA coroner may have examined the insides and figured out if there was any lunch ingested in the insides or not? I didn’t purchase the autopsy report but it is available via the LA coroner website for a small fee....It sounds bad I know, but If someone knows they’re going to go they probably enjoy a good last meal?

Excellent point. Surely that was a focus of Dr. Meza's while in the depths of despair.
So will there be people writing to LA Mag now saying how insensitive it was to published such an article because he was such a good person, good doctor, helping the Latino kids, buying shoes for people who can't afford it like the South Pasadena article?

What about the fact that he told people he was going to run Chicago in the Fall of 2019 and prove everyone wrong, yet registration was already closed for the year and his name was nowhere to be found on the list of qualified runners? If that dude had even one iota of intent to follow through on what he said, he would have bothered to check that little factoid first. And he wasn't going to donate to charity to get there, because look at Tina sitting there trying to balance the checkbook. How the writer didn't nail him to the wall on that point is beyond me
It was lie after lie. He was never going to run Chicago. Suddenly, he's having health issues. I could have written this script with no keyboard. Kip Litton did the same thing and yes, he was caught red handed. He was walking on the side of the road of the Boston marathon in a whole different outfit. No, no one does that (of course it was to cross the mat and then jump on his bike that he would discard before he ran to the finish).
But, Litton said "So", meaning prove it because that might be me but I'm saying that I stopped running 2:50+ pace and changed my complete running apparel and kept running and DID finish at that pace...prove me wrong. Mr. Meza chose a different response to getting caught. First claim pee break, then this and then that, then some people produced photos that he simply could not explain away and he chose a different way to respond, and sadly it was suicide.
As for his daughter-in-law claiming no one would be wearing sweats like the guy on the bike was (who she knew was her father-in-law), once she looked at the picture of him crossing the mat and wearing the same exact sweats...she says what?
It's not denial, it's flat out lying to save his honor because he's gone. No one that age has time to stop during a marathon and lose a minute, let alone several minutes. They may not have believed it before, but if they've seen all of the photos by now, then they know the truth but it's their husband, dad, father-in-law, and they surely aren't going to help anyone publicly convict him.

The elite coordinator at Chicago would likely have permitted or comp'd a late entry for Meza in what would potentially be a world-record setting age-group effort (being a certified course).
But of course Meza was incapable of legitimately reproducing anything like his bogus results, so never intended to register or run.
The heart condition discovery was convenient timing, which makes it suspicious. Apparently, it kept him from racing again, but not from running.
Yes, the (revised) last conversation between Frank and Tina is cringe-worthy:

There is definitive proof that there was no heart condition - there was an autopsy. A ruptured chordae tendineae would absolutely been looked for and have showed up on this. Case closed.

I wonder if that online reputation company posted on the original thread. The thread was waning several times and then a friend of Frank would post with something incredulous and get it going again. I always thought it was trolls just playing around but now I wonder if it was that agency. Since it was a professional operation to manage his online reputation if they allegedly posted false and misleading information that caused outrage then they were in a way responsible for any so-called cyber-bullying counter comments. Could their involvement have been the tipping point?
