Basis: heat transfer

Assumptions:

- Sun is 3000 miles from surface

- Earth is 26,000 mile wide disk

- Closest distance from earth to sun is between center and edge of disk (sun travels in circle at 6500 radius of disk)

- Emmisivity: 1

- Sun diameter is 1920 arcseconds or 0.53 degrees from the ground on earth

Calculations:

- Sun's diameter is 27.75 miles

- Sun's surface temperature is 6000F

When sun is directly overhead on "equator", temperature on surface is 88F

Temperature on edge of disk nearest to sun (ice wall) is 48F.

Temperature on edge of disk furthest from sun (other side of ice wall) is 3F.

It works people.

Seems the sun would have burned out if it's that close and that big. Unless someone regularly fuels it up in a spaceship.

A bit of a problem for this one. You could make this work for a given observer at a given location, but another observer 1000 miles away in one direction along the arc would see the Sun's apparent diameter fluctuate from rougly 1500 arc seconds to about 3000 arcseconds, because it's distance from this observer would range from 2000 miles to 4000 miles The but Sun's AD doesn't fluctuate by this amount, it stays ~1920 arcseconds for all observers. There are millions of observers, it has to work for everyone everywhere.

This theory from the Government and NASA that the Earth is rotating and orbiting and leaning over and wobbling is absolute nonsense and yet people are clinging to it, tightly, like a teddy bear.

Still only works for very few scenarios. There are millions that it has to work for and work the same way in every one of them.

Answer:

The Sun never sets or rises, it stays the same distance over the Earth throughout it's daily/annual journeys around. The appearance of rising and setting is all based on the law of perspective on plane surfaces. The Sun and Moon spotlights are perpetually hovering over and parallel to the surface of the Earth. From our vantage point, due to the Law of Perspective, the day/night luminaries appear to rise up the Eastern horizon, curve peaking high overhead, and then sink below the Western horizon. They do not escape to the underside of the Flat-Earth as one might imagine, but rather rotate concentric clockwise circles around the circumference from tropic to tropic.

“Although the Sun is at all times above and parallel to the Earth’s surface, it appears to ascend the firmament from morning until noon, and to descend and sink below the horizon at evening. This arises from a simple and everywhere visible law of perspective. A flock of birds, when passing over a flat or marshy country, always appears to descend as it recedes; and if the flock is extensive, the first bird appears lower, or nearer to the horizon than the last. The farthest light in a row of lamps appears the lowest, although each one has the same altitude. Coriolis effect debunked:

Here's another quote confirming the irrelevance of Foucault's pendulum and the Coriolis effect to determining geo or heliocentricity:

"Since Foucault’s pendulum and the Coriolis effect are closely related, they can be considered together. Foucault’s pendulum, which was constructed in Paris in 1851, was a pendulum consisting of a 200 foot long flexible wire on which a heavy iron weight was suspended so as to be free to oscillate in any direction. It was found that the oscillating pendulum never retraced its path but at each swing apparently deviated: if the experiment is conducted in the northern hemisphere it deviates to the right, and in the southern hemisphere it will deviate to the left. The so-called “Coriolis effect” is similar: a shell from a long range gun, aimed at a target to the south of it, will land to the right of the target in the northern hemisphere and to the left in the southern hemisphere.

Trying to use Foucault's pendulum as proof for heliocentricity really backfired when Maurice Allais repeatedly observed pendulums slowing their motion during eclipses! This implies that either the "rotating Earth" decelerates during eclipses or the firmament does. NASA DOESN'T WANT TO CONCEDE THE IMPLICATIONS SO THEY CONTINUE TO BE SILENT ON THE ISSUE.

Thanks to U.N. treaties and constant military surveillance, Antarctica remains cloaked in government secrecy, both purported “no-fly/no-sail” zones, with several reports of civilian pilots and captains being shooed away and escorted back under threat of violence. No independent exploration of Antarctica is allowed by the 47 UN treaty nations which guard it, we cannot photograph the ice wall or explore beyond it. Why the secrecy?

Ok now I am getting nervous about my conversion . . . this whole analogy with the flock of birds isn't helping explain why we can't see the sun 24 hours a day.

I have another analogy:

- You are sitting on the edge of a circular grass field that is 100 meters in diameter (roughly similar to a track in scale).

- A very bright glowing orb is moving in a circle above the field.

- It is circling the center of the field with a radius that is halfway between the center of the field and the edge (25 meter radius).

- This bright orb is 11.5 meters off the ground. That is almost 37 feet.

You will see the really bright orb no matter where you are on the field.

So, I think that we need to go back to explaining why the sun does not glow as an orb. Rather, it glows as a spotlight. I am thinking that there is dark matter around the sun that blocks us from seeing it 24/7.

Impenetrable barrier holds the atmosphere in. I believe this what Admiral Byrd's pilots crashed into and that the barrier is transparent.
