There is already an unofficial thread for all things Australian, but it's titled mostly at one group/person, and getting sidetracked in that thread by hating on Instagram reels from runners or world cross country flops distracts from its true purpose of taking down the AA mafia. I hope that people will therefore get onboard here with rumours/results/articles/podcast chat etc etcCan we find more things to talk about in the world of Australian distance running that the world of YouTube distance running? Probably not, but maybe a single thread is at least useful.

Will be interesting to see which Aussie men go around in the Diamond league this year across 800m - 10000m.

Early days but so far I believe we’ve only had:

800m - Luke Boyes

3000m - Seth

5000m - Seth

Then Peyton Craig is running the 800m in Rome on Thursday. Myers will surely be down for a few diamond leagues soon but wondering if some of the US guys will run some also? Eg Ky Robinson, McDonald, Hoare, Spencer etc

Bol also said he’s running 800 at Stockholm and Oslo, then 1000m at Ostrava.

Any other Aussies I’ve missed? Maybe Sam Clifford? Seems like Rayner, Brett Robinson and Stewie McSweyn aren’t going around on the international track circuit this season but might be wrong.

I'd think Jack would be looking to get into some meets later in the year, but I don't think Brett or Stewy are DL quality anymore. I think the Euro-centric focus of many Aussies is a disadvantage. I think they would have much more opportunity to run to their level and actually be competitive in some of the US-based meets versus running solo off the back of a DL.
