Thank you for at least acknowledging the double standard. US and Russian methods to achieve the same thing indeed are different:
• US supports opposition to initiate a regime change to install a US puppet as a leader.
• Russia goes in and takes over leadership by itself.

The results are the same though - dead people on the streets. We can't be arguing that "how" this is done makes all the difference. This is somewhat comparable to "committing murder" or "hiring someone else to commit murder and assisting". Both punishable by life in prison or the death penalty by law.

I do not defend Russian aggression. Only ask to measure it the same way American aggression is measured. Want Putin prosecuted? Prosecute Bush Jr. first to show example.

Calling for assassination of Putin? Well then, take care of good ol' Bush Jr. too.

Every time you bring up hypocrisy you are defending Russian aggression. If you don't agree with Russia invading and annexing parts of another country, come out and say so.

The neo-cons (W Bush, Rumsfeld, Cheney, Wolfowitz, etc.) should be prosecuted for war crimes and violating international law. The US should pay reparations to Iraq and Afghanistan. But the fact that this is politically impossible in the US doesn't mean that the US is precluded from providing military aid to Ukraine.

People don't need to include a list of past aggressions committed by other countries in every post here condemning Russia for invading Ukraine.

Economic analysis posted earlier in this thread showed that there was a direct correlation between economic prosperity and European vs. Russian alignment among former Soviet republics. Of course Ukrainians want nothing to do with Russia. It's a f*cking sh*thole. They're smart enough to realize allying with the West is the path to prosperity, and they chased Yanukovych back to Russia when he tried to tell them otherwise.
