To nonequals' point, the thing I see changing a lot of people's mind is just reality.
For instance, the Florida Key have become a very Republican part of the country. But the keys are flooding more and more because of sea level rise. Residents are noticing and trying to unload their houses.
The same kind of thing is playing out in deep red states like Utah, where the record heat and drought is undeniable. When you are worried about water shortages you start to wonder if this climate change thing might be for real.
But that's what coordinated GQP/FOX brainwashing is for. They know those people are just too gullible and that the last thing they will do is believe and admit that a "lib" issue is real. They get the right-wing sauce and problem solved... even if they lose their homes, communities, lives, etc.
Luckily, GQP/FOX brainwashing doesn't work on everyone. The Romney Republicans in Utah are in the "persuadable" category.
