I have observed for myself the curvature of the earth. I have traveled to the desert and hiked up a peak in the Phoenix area to watch the sun set. From an elevation of about 2000 feet, I have watched the sun disappear behind a substantially flat (but slightly curved) horizon in a blaze of sonoran desert colors, which makes a wonderful view by the way. What is the point, you ask? Well, if the earth were flat, then from my vantage point, I would watch the sun set behind the jagged silhouette of the Dome Rock mountain range which lies about 130 miles west of Phoenix and rises to an elevation of 3300 feet, or over a 1000' feet about my vantage point. But, alas, even with a high powered telescope, these mountains are not visible due to the curvature of the earth. These mountains are well below the horizon and I watch the sun set along a flat horizon.

Agreed. I am bowing out too. I may reply in the future but there will be others to debate this. Someday, someone will get close enough to to the ice wall and photograph it. Admiral Byrd's evidence is classified and buried deep in the Pentagon. Too bad Captain Cook didn't have photography back in the day.

Let me make this clear. I do not support the Flat Earth Theory. I have many trying to grandstand on this issue here, using the truth I am revealing to support their agenda of a Flat Earth, based on sensory perception. There is such a thing has elevation gain and loss. That doesn't mean the earth has a curve to it.

What I'm saying is... the base of those 3300ft mountains are starting from a much lower point than the place you were sitting.

Ok so that video doesn't explain why when I throw a ball in the sky it hits the earth.

But the moon and sun don't hit the earth despite being big balls in the sky.

Does the flat earth theory only attract tiny balls?
