My perception is that elite athletes have left this site in droves. (I think of how Henry Rono was essentially belittled because he never got closer to his clearly unrealistic masters mile goal). The guy was a freaking legend. Henry. Rono. And people were tearing him down.
I do agree that you can't please everyone all the time. And fair enough, I'll likely be one of those people this site can't please. But I also believe that people need to be responsible for their actions. All of us.
Personally I'm saddened that this site has taken the course it has. But believe it or not, I kind of agree with your sentiment...

I don't agree with the thread being written at all, I was just saying I don't see how it impacts his career at all.
If anonymous posters on internet forums were taken seriously, then 100% of popular athletes would be basket cases.

It's in the nature of most humans, to when they hear something enough to start believing it or at least consider believing it.
Hell I never thought Centro was using PEDs but started to entertain that idea when immersed in this thread. Now if this is all a bunch of BS, but I've created a room in my mind for a more than remote possibility that Centro is, that is a shame.
Put it this way, it taints his name in a lot of peoples minds in a way that wasn't there before. Some people may even be convinced now, and many others may have reservations.
If this was based on some foundation of truth or substance, well maybe that's ok but we no nothing of that. So as it stands now, a guy who more than likely is just a talented runner who has always raced smart since high school and is obviously a very hard worker has had his name tainted with 0 evidence.
You absolutely can make up stuff and have it be believed. It happens to millions in N. Korea every year. Well heck in this country too. After all, we are in a "recovery" after all.

So why is this thread still up? I am all for free speech but the brojos have a history of pulling threads for a variety of reasons, one being when a discussion has run its course.
I haven't seen any new "info" here since some of the self-proclaimed insiders said that the story had legs. But that was a while ago and nothing new has come out. By leaving it up, the brojos are creating the impression that there is some truth to the story.

There is no positive test result. But, there is an attempt to sanction someone for using a non-banned gray zone performance enhancing product.
