As an aside does anyone have the whisper on what marathon Brett Robinson is doing? Despite evidently trying to keep it on the down-low, he admitted on the podcast that he's racing one in 10 weeks time. It's gotta be Gold Coast, right?
Also curious what Jack Rayner's planning to race after his Kenya stint.

Maybe Brett is running Sydney marathon at end of August. Big $$ up for grabs for first Aussie.
Also, Jimmy Whelan said he wants to run Melb Mara this year on the RunWithIt pod.

Brett = Sydney. Jack = Gold Coast.

Jack 7th in 3:39. Only Pallitsch went with the pace. Race won in 3:38.5 by Bloudek. Probably a bit of a wasted opportunity for the whole field with good points.
Bob took a fall at about 450. Too many guys for an 800. Women‘s race also saw 3 girls come down

Early on- Haftu looking very comfortable in the lead pack. Izzi in front running with Riley. Gen hanging on. Ned Brockmann is in that pack too.
Haftu just ran sub 61- maybe ~60:42.
Broke Brett with a few km to go. Brett held on pretty well to take 2nd in 61-high
Izzi takes the Womens in 68:47.
Gen a few minutes back.
Great run from Cam. He's going to go seriously fast this year in the 1500/mile/5km. He could easily switch to the 800m and dominate all the Aussies imo.
Huge from Haftu in Launnie in 60:41. Hoping he can finally put it all together in a good marathon this year. Expected more from Ethan Shuley in the men's half tbh. I wonder how many unsponsored runners beat Ryan Gregson today - Heaps I reckon.
Is it fair to say that the women's field was much weaker than the mens? Izzie was 2.5 minutes faster than second place Gen.
Ed Marks 27:57 solo in the 10km was huge too.
Also, some asked about Jack Rayner being injured - 3rd in the 10km in 29:25. Possibly using it as a workout?
He's off to Kenya soon apparently so that should be interesting to follow.
