Oh you guys don't like talking about the US war crimes? :)
Then let's talk about something else. I have a great idea on how to avert energy crisis in Europe. I think, since Biden has forbidden the EU to use Nord Stream 2, he could sell LNG to Europe for the price of Russian gas. Or even better, show solidarity and just gift it to Europe.
Same goes for Ukraine, to help Europe overcome the blow back of the sanctions against Russia, Ukraine should provide cheap electricity.
I'm also not noticing American military planes picking up Ukrainian refugees from Europe. Over 300.000 in Austria alone, almost a million in Germany, more than 60.000 in Switzerland.
This could be a major step towards finding jamin a wife.

We wouldn’t mind talking about US war crimes if they had any relevance to Russia’s invasion or you had anything insightful to add. Neither is the case here.
I also have a great idea on how to avoid a non-existent energy crisis in Europe. Russia could withdraw all their troops from Ukraine and then pay Europe to accept their gas and also pay $500 billion to US and European countries to rebuild Ukraine. Oh and Switzerland could pitch in another $50 Billion since you insist they have money to spare.

Now that was a truly stupid post. Of course it is relevant, since it's absurd to pretend that any American has moral authority to judge Putin and his actions. Prostitutes do not give out lectures on virginity :)
Just admit that entire existence of the US is based on warmongering and gun culture, so you are ok with war crimes, you just don't like it when other countries commit them.
Energy crisis in Europe does indeed exist. Or how else do you call doubling of the gas and electricity prices and being warned by the government about possible regional black-outs this winter?
Logically, since the US is so opposed against the EU using Nord Stream 2, that it even threatened European companies with sanctions, the US must come up for a cheap alternative, doesn't it?
Ukraine is demanding help and sanctions against Russia, which hurts Europe. So surely they could come up with some dirt cheap electricity for the EU to offer something in return.
Switzerland has the least amount to do with this war, so you can leave your personal vendetta against me aside and focus on the issue at hand.
To be honest, since the US is not even intending to seriously help Europe with the energy crisis, I am convinced, that this was the plan all along - to financially ruin the EU.
I find it interesting to see how the right wing was anti-Russia under Reagan/Bush and the next 25 years. Then Trump came to power and the right turned into Putin supporters. Now with Trump's obvious treasonous activity many (at least publicly) say they are not Trump supporters anymore but still fight to the death to deflect criticism of him. Now that Russia's invasion of Ukraine is proving to be a complete failure and all of the bogus reasons put forth for it are completely discredited, now they say they are not Putin supporters at all but are still on this board fighting tooth and nail to deflect and blame everyone else but Russia for it. It is interesting.

Exporting LNG has been a high priority of the US energy industry and (mostly) the government for a decade. It wasn't particularly viable for the EU market until Russia opted out of being a reliable supplier. It's also going to be hard for the powers that be to commit to the necessary infrastructure knowing Russia could turn around and drop the bottom out of the market if they so chose.
Ukraine was a supplier of electricity to the EU prior to the Russian invasion. You may have noticed that several power plants were captured and energy infrastructure has been targeted.
There are a significant number of Ukrainian refugees in the US. You probably can't see them from St Petes because most of them haven't been relocated to Sarah Palin's neighborhood. Maybe DeSantis and the Florida taxpayers could fix that?
Neither have they been relocated to Jamin's basement and, frankly, even DeSantis is not that amoral.

No. It's not even remotely relevant to a discussion of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, and the only reason you (and some other posters) keep bringing it up is to try and distract people from the atrocities being committed by Russia and the abject failures of the Russian military.
Reports are coming out that Russian forces are getting beat so badly that new recruits are refusing to go into combat. Russia's armed forces are basically shattered right now. They are ill-equipped with horrible logistical support and have no centralized command with unified combat objectives. Some units are being pressed into launching attacks against advancing UA forces in Luhansk oblast but are getting routed every time they try to push back UA advances.
Putin has long tried to avoid a draft/general mobilization in order to minimize dissent at home. But now it looks like a mobilization may be in the works simply due to the fact that Russia is running out of volunteers. A measure introduced in the Duma paves the way for a general mobilization and cracks down on desertions, and other crimes during a mobilization. This comes in tandem with announcements of a referendum in Luhansk and Donetsk to be annexed by Russia. The logic seems to be that Russia can justify general mobilization as being a response to an attack that crosses Russia's borders by moving Russia's borders to the front line in the war with Ukraine.
There are definitely hardliners in Russia who are actually looking to overthrow Putin because they think that he has been too soft in Ukraine and RU is losing the war as a result. This looks to be an effort by Putin to double down in Ukraine to please the hardliners. And it looks to be an effort to recast the war as an attack on Russia to try to win back support of the BRICs after a big cold shoulder in Shanghai.
Donetsk People's Republic and Luhansk People's Republic are voting on joining Russian Federation. Votings will be taking place on September 23rd to 27th.

And only Russia and Carmine will recognize the elections as legitimate. It's a tacit admission that in another 3 months, Russia isn't going to have control of either Donetsk or Luhansk, will be extremely awkward for Putin to explain why Ukraine is now occupying parts of Russia and Russia is unable to remove them, and means Ukraine (and by proxy NATO) are now going to be okay hitting "Russian" territory. Russia had better hope that Ukraine's troops stop at the 2014 borders and don't just keep going.

Remember Crimea? Expect similar results. Absolute majority of LNR and DNR will gladly vote for joining Russia and will celebrate it too.
Those two regions have been massively mismanaged and abused by Kiev for many years now.

Haha,so that's going to be fair.
An invading army who are killing civilians and terrorising the local community are telling people who to vote for, whilst holding a gun to them.

Yes. We all remember that Russia held a sham referendum in Crimea. Nobody (except Russia and Carmine) take it seriously. I wonder what way the vote will go when Ukraine holds a referendum in Belgorod next year.

No idea which way that vote will go.
Why shouldn't this be fair? DPR and LPR are mainly populated by Russian speaking / pro-Russian inhabitants. Just like in Crimea, the military there is to protect the voters from Kiev and Ukrainian regular army and not to force them to vote one way or another. No need for that, Russian people with nostalgia for Soviet times live there :)

Yeah, that's a touch one. Hmmm . . . vote for Russia or get shot in the head. . . hmmm . . .

Two topics:
1) How perfect is the US?
2) Russia vs Ukraine War
Let's see if you can figure out which one this thread is about?

If you're good at getting close to the news and following the right people - people who have multiple sources on the ground, not people who tell you what you want to hear - you heard the news this morning. If you rely on high-quality news outlets, you'll get the news this evening or tomorrow. If you rely on cheerleaders for your news who only tell you what you want to hear, you'll get a an endless stream of denials, and then they'll switch and tell you it was always like that.

From polling done by the Washington Post in January, 2022 (even after many pro-Ukrainian folks had left the region).
When the responses are weighted by the estimated total population on either side of the line of control in the Donbas before the war (1.7 million in the Kyiv-controlled zone and 2.1 million in the separatist republics), more people preferred to remain in Ukraine (42 percent) than be annexed to Russia (31 percent). Just 9 percent opted for independence.
Up next, Lolly tells us how the people on MH17 wanted to get shot down by Russian terrorists.
New record for dumbest thing ever written on the internet.
Just shows that you know absolutely nothing about Ukraine and Ukrainians. Typical dum*ass American, doesn't even surprise me at all. Too many people here don't know anything about Ukraine but what they have seen on Western media in the past year. Read up on history of Donbas and wheep.
