"very innocuous" is the crux of your argument. It's the same as earlier Omicron strains that killed millions. A 30-40% reduction in severe cases is more than compensated by the increased transmissibility and (gasp) immune escape.
I am waiting for evidence that this is anything more than the most puerile, low-IQ argument of 'the vaccines are not 100% effective.'
