Those who have bought into Russian propaganda are right-wingers which doesn't necessarily make them a conservative. I've also seen some left-wing extremists jumping on the Putin bandwagon, mostly because they hate the Western world and all it stands for.
This article explains the phenomena that you have noticed where a fringe subset of Trump fans have essentially become this generation's Hanoi Janes.

This is where I'm seeing a real divide between myself and some other Americans. Any American citizen who supports Russia is a traitor, as far as I'm concerned.
Constructive criticism here. Roy, your post would be easier to read with paragraphs. Sorry, TLDR.
For other posters, try making paragraphs, after 2, 3 or 4 sentences, depend on length of sentence. If you want someone to read your post, make it easy to read. Also beware of run on sentences. They can just be as annoying as a 500 word paragraph.
Curious, didn't some of you posters attend middle school?
Carry On,
HappyJack.
Dear HappyJack,
"Constructive criticism" and "didn't some of you posters attend middle school?" do not go together very well.

I couldn't agree more. They are giving aid and comfort to America's primary enemy. By definition, they are traitors to their country.

m/aga is all about autocracy - giving tons of power to one guy. That's the red hat dream.
Putin is the prime m'aga guy - has his own nation! His own nukes and military! Ideal m/aga. Helps that Putin hates the gays too - Rs appreciate that kind of thinking.

Who flew airplanes into the World Trade Center again? Was it Russians? No, it was Islamic extremists from Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan.
Who shot at us on the beaches of Normandy? Germans.
Who bombed us at Pearl Harbor? Japanese.
Who has nuclear weapons, 3X our population, and an aggressive leader who is furious with Nancy pelosi? China.

I agree with your premise. However, "We The People" have a 1st Amendment, something about freedom of speech. You may not always like what you hear, and neither do I. But just because you disagree doesn't mean the other person is some sort of traitor. Why hell, did you even ever think that the other guy might think you're the traitor?

Freedom of speech is totally irrelevant to the discussion of whether that person is a traitor or not. He does seem to be supportive of people and movements that are anti-america and anti-democracy and against the things we value and stand for.

Are you jeez-drunk? Where did I suggest the First Amendment does not apply? Where did I say anything remotely suggesting that anyone who disagrees with me is a traitor?
A person who gives aid and comfort to the enemy is by definition a traitor, irrespective of whether the aid and comfort they provide to the enemy is protected by the First Amendment or not.

You might be talking actions. I was referring to thought. There's a big difference between the two. Be careful about this traitor stuff, if or when political winds shift, the accuser could end up being the accused.

Oh yes, pointing out that your prior post was in fact disrespectful was certainly disrespectful of me.
Of course.
It should also be noted that Precious Roy is perfectly free to respond to your post as he sees fit. The fact that I correctly pointed out how disrespectful your post was has no impact on Precious Roy whatsoever. He does, in fact, have no need for me to "let" him do anything.

I still don't understand why you copped a snide tone while reminding me what the First Amendment says. The First Amendment has jack to do with anything I posted.
As you should be well aware, since we are on a message board, I was referring to both actions and words. If you actions or your words are in support of Russia, you are giving aid and comfort to the enemy and are, by definition, a traitor to the United States of America.
I couldn't care less if your politics shift with the weather.

I apologize to you for being disrespectful. I hope you can accept my most sincere apology. I can't promise, but I'll try my darnest in the future to be a better poster.

I'm sorry if when you read my post and you picked up a snide tone. That was not my intent. If we were talking face to face you wouldn't tell your friends I talk in a snide tone. We should just agree that we disagree and leave it at that.

There, that was easy, wasn't it.
Have a good evening Mr. Harris
What are we agreeing to disagree about? You haven't posted anything that makes enough sense for me to agree or disagree with. Do you agree with that? If not, point me to something you posted that is relevant and has some degree of sense to it.
