The Ukrainian counteroffensive in Kharkiv Oblast is routing Russian forces and collapsing Russia’s northern Donbas axis. Russian forces are not conducting a controlled withdrawal and are hurriedly fleeing southeastern Kharkiv Oblast to escape encirclement around Izyum. Russian forces have previously weakened the northern Donbas axis by redeploying units from this area to Southern Ukraine, complicating efforts to slow the Ukrainian advance or at minimum deploy a covering force for the retreat. Ukrainian gains are not confined to the Izyum area; Ukrainian forces reportedly captured Velikiy Burluk on September 10, which would place Ukrainian forces within 15 kilometers of the international border.[1] Ukrainian forces have penetrated Russian lines to a depth of up to 70 kilometers in some places and captured over 3,000 square kilometers of territory in the past five days since September 6 – more territory than Russian forces have captured in all their operations since April.

Fascinating bit of RU history here - RU political talkshows have always parroted the putin/GOP line...until now. Now they are saying RU has lost, that Putin had given wrong intel, that the war was simply a colonial conquest attempt, etc. Wild stuff.

Also reports that generals have told Putin the war is lost.

Putin has lost so badly that he's almost lost support of the Republican Party.

Russia tried to liberate the Ukraine with kid gloves on, that attempt has failed. Now the gloves are coming off. Bombing of the Ukraine's power plants and other critical infrastructure has begun, just like the USA has done to every country it has invaded, Panama, Iraq, Serbia, Afghanistan, Iraq again, Libya, Syria, etc. Now, Ukraine will have the choice of overthowing Zelensky, or starving/freezing in the dark in very immediate future.

Rumors are that an actual declaration of war, and full invasion with Russian military, far beyond what was possible/legal with a "special police action" is incoming:

Right, now the gloves are coming off. And the helmets, the uniforms, the rifles and the rest of the weaponry as Russian soldiers try to flee for their lives to the border.

See, the thing about "now we're going to get really serious about this invasion" is you have to have an army left to make that work. Russia doesn't. The soldiers are dead, maimed, or running away. The heavy weapons are being repainted with Ukrainian camouflage. Russia can't build modern tanks or planes anymore.

You know how we can be sure Russia has utterly lost the war? Look what it's still doing in Donetsk - pointless assaults, day after day, all repelled by Ukrainian fortifications that haven't budged in 14 years. That's more dead Russian soldiers and destroyed equipment that Russia can't replace, every day, with no strategic plan, even with Russian defensive lines collapsing on either side. Eventually the whole thing collapses, like we saw this week on the Kharkiv front.

I can see you get it, you get how things really are;

Russia will lose over 100.000 soldiers, TONS of military equipment and what did they gain.....nothing. A laughing stock is all they accomplished.

Big mistake thinking that army coud take anyone, they totally sucked, as we all saw.
