Not from the poles- no documented evidence of circumnavigation through and over both poles Arctic to Antarctic flight. No flight documented from bottom of South America over Antarctica to Australia either on globe model.

I used a black body emissivity of 1 so I will recalculate using grey body.

according ti data from globe dwellers, the temp would melt the earth at a distance of just 3000 miles.

Non-Globalist here. Not much of a conspiracy theorist. Holocaust was real. 9/11 carried out by Al-Queda. JFK not real sure. I'm also a chemical engineer who has made all A's my whole life with 1520 SAT score. So...

You don't say. It's really easy to figure it out. People fly there in about 8 hours from a city that is on both the spherical and flat Earth model.

lol. I really didn't think it would blow up like this. I don't even get on this thread much anymore because it's just too much to read. It actually turned into a pretty thought-provoking discussion though. While I still firmly believe the earth is indeed round (or at least semi-spherical), I've realized that the flat-earthers have a good point in that we are always inclined to believe what we are told by the government, the education system, etc. Most of us never think to look beyond what we are told and investigate the world for ourselves, and we rarely consider that "common knowledge" may not actually be true. The "flat earth" thing is just a bunch of people making their own theories and exploring other ideas than what they've been taught, and really that's what all science is built on. So maybe it isn't such a bad thing after all, especially if it starts a good LRC debate.
