I was only sort of following this thread but decided to take a close look recently.Here is what I've found. It's very interesting.Below a Runner's World article (http://www.runnersworld.com/races/race-asks-for-some-prize-money-back-then-changes-its-mind), on December 23rd at 2:49 Pacific (4:49 pm CT which is the time that shows up on the LetsRun forum - RW shows the time zone where you are posting from, our forum uses Central Time all the time), the race director Robert Nichols posted in the comments section (where your ID is verified by facebook), "I just posted, its a 2hour time difference for me. Look at the last post that says Hello. Now look at what time this post comes up as."I went to the messageboard and found the post that many might think he just implied he just made. There was a post from 7 minutes before - at 4:42 CT - from "Adtgy" saying "Hello."as shown here.http://www.letsrun.com/forum/flat_read.php?thread=6901347&page=31#6924556As an administrator, I can click on a button that shows you all of the posts coming from that very same computer (as recorded by cookies). Here is where it gets interesting. That same computer is the one producing ALL 9 of the posts from "Ahole elites" .So no one hijacked 'Ahole elites" even though the posts start out ripping elites and talking about how great the race is to ultimately calling for the race director to be fired. They are all coming from the same computer.The same computer (according to cookies) also posted a lot of posts defending the race under various names including "CPA", “We have a Winnerâ€, “Funny Manâ€.and "We're all on here" including one where the name Bob Nickles appears to be intentionally misspelled.

I received a call a few days ago from the RD, Bob Nickles. I've participated over the last couple of years also. Nice guy and unfortunately just screwed up his numbers. I sincerely wish that he's not taking this too hard. He's turned a small race into a huge beach run at low tide with thousands participating. That same cookie also posts three times under the name "Rdsurfingmadonna" although most of the "RdSurfingmadonna" posts comes from another computer and different IP address.. The fact that "Ahole elites" and "Rdsurfingmadonna" are posting around the same times could easily be explained by the fact that one is coming from a verizon wireless IP and one from a cox IP.

It was real clear at the time that 'CPA' was Bob. And the first 'Ahole elites' was clearly Bob. As I recall, one of the 'Ahole elites' posts, the one with "I'm a board member..." or something like that, the one that was also posted on RW, was much more coherent and well written than Bob's posts and we figured it was his girlfriend using his computer and she just neglected to change the name. Or maybe Bob copied and pasted it.

True that. Nice to have it verified by Rojo. So not only did Bob make the posts as Ahole elites, he also made another comment (which he has now deleted, but screenshot included below) on the Runner's World article which blamed Matt for the second Ahole elites post. claiming that Matt copied and pasted the comment to LRC from RW and used the screen name "Ahole elites". Even though it came from Bob's own computer.

Ryan Cosens It's pretty obvious that what letsrun.com is a bunch of BS. I've got 5+ people posting as me and various forms of RdSurfingMadonna. I'm done, this is not worth it. People like Matt Slocum are posting comments on LetsRun pretending to be me, this is just childish and a waste of time. I can tell you one thing, there are going to be some people that will definitely have a lifetime ban from ever participating in our race again. Robert Nichols Bob, a friend alerted me to your false comment. I did not pretend to be you or imitate you in any way on letsrun or elsewhere, nor do I support anyone who would do that. Despite our heated and largely trivial interactions, that is a shameful and slanderous accusation which I hope you will reconsider. I have emailed Weldon and Robert Johnson of LetsRun and asked them pull the IP addresses. Maybe you can do the same and then how about this- when they do pull the IP addresses, if I imitated you, I will donate $10,000 to your charity. When it is shown that I did not, then you can donate $10,000 to a charity of my choice.

One person a registered poster admitted that he tried to get RdSurfingmadonna for kicks, but someone had already beat him to it. It's obvious it was you on there Matt. Your the only besides Ryan, Cody and I going back and forth on this argument. The language and wording is exactly like yours. Admit it, it was you.
Oh yea Matt, I'd like you donate your $10,000 to H20 Trash Patrol, they do a wonderful job of keeping our Oceans clean. But, your not a man of your word and you won't pay. Unless you can of course take some of your USC trust fund money out and use it.
