I don't know if the 60k number is accurate. There was consensus that there were around 15-20k Russia soldiers had been killed and another 30-50k injured so far. However, there was recently some evidence (the validity of which may be debatable) that suggested Russia had paid death benefits for close to 50k soldiers (not including LNR or DNR forces). That would explain why Russia is so desperate to recruit new soldiers, and doing everything short of a mass mobilization, which would require and actual declaration of war.
USA didn’t enter Vietnam on one road with all their vehicles and equipment stretched out for 40 miles waiting to get stuck and blown up by bomb dropping drones. Hence fewer lives lost.
See the yellow areas on the map you linked? They used to be controlled by Russian terrorists. Now they’re not.
Notice how Russia hasn’t advanced in the last 2 months?

Anybody that claims no GMOs makes food better is clueless and can’t be taken seriously.
GMOs are for poor countries. People with money eat natural, and even better, organic food. Save a little and visit a wholefood shop in your area, you'll be surprised :)

Mostly this was done by selective crossing of different varieties, that had been been selected for some trait (e.g., taste, shelf life, cold resistance, productivity). Now, we use science to do the same thing and clueless people get up in arms about it. There is no accepted scientific evidence that GMOs are harmful, just nutjobs on the internet.

I would ask you to explain the difference between selective crossing and genetic modification, but 1) you can’t (there isn’t one) and 2) this isn’t the appropriate thread.

Yes, actually, just like Danzig. The region consisted of 98% German, 1% Polish and 1% other. And interestingly, Danzig was gifted to Poland by the.... U.S. President Woodrow Wilson. Since then Danzig has been mismanaged and run down by Poland, which made Danzigers want even more to be separated from Poland.
It is actually a good question, what business does one country have to manage a region with over 90% population of another country in it.
