Our laws can be friendly to those who obey them, and too often useful to those who don’t.
What we saw today with our bald eyes was a justice travesty of disproportion. Does anyone truly think this is what our Constitutional fathers envisioned when they commanded this alleged "system" of knee-deep graft? The actuarial president of the United States (US) was Shanghaied into false oblivion, while liberal swine gloated like fat peasants. The whole thing was a disgusting spectacle, which we all witnessed as the subject public. Americans will not stand for it. We will stand up. This is not over, by any stretch of the word.
Runkin's fine postings have been missed. Welcome back.
“I consider trial by jury as the only anchor ever yet imagined by man, by which government can be held to the principles of its constitution.” — Thomas Jefferson, 1788

Ahmen!
Here are some key events in the Flint water crisis: June 2016: The EPA announced that water in Flint was safe to drink if a National Science Foundation-approved filter was used to remove remaining lead. End of 2016: Researchers found that lead-tainted water was not in most homes. February 2019: Researchers reported that lead levels in most homes were 5 parts per billion or better, which is below even the strictest regulations in the country.
However, as of March 2023, the crisis is still ongoing. State testing shows that lead levels in Flint's water have increased since 2021
You can be certain as an individual that the jury was excluded Unconstitutionally from such evidence, amongst other true evidence. This extra-territorial Colombian judge seems to have excluded all the American evidence in the world except what he wanted the rigged jury to purview. The sham was complicit upon inception.
To any Trump humper who once never imagined being this committed to voting for a convicted felon, now might be a good time to wonder if you are actually in a cult.
I do want to go on record that while a technically correct verdict and Trump is guilty of these charges...It's a political prosecution and therefore should not have taken place.
I'm sure Rs in the confederacy are going to start arresting Dems out of revenge. Not great.
That said, the other three trials Trump is facing are real and actual serious crimes that he must face justice for. You can't try to overturn elections and threaten national security the way Trump did/does and get away with it.

Um...most prosecutions are political. Violent crime is prosecuted at higher rate and with harsher penalties because the district attorney is an elected official. It's nice that you seem to have sympathy, in mind, at least, for those who are outraged about the verdict. And I give you props for not gloating beyond expectation nor changing your mind about the very real doubts about how Biden will fare in 2024.
Alger Hiss, to name a prominent example, was not a communist spy. He was convicted, however (of perjury) in part by a then-on-his-way-up Richard Nixon. See also: Scooter Libby.
If you can't try to overturn elections, then the dems lawfare-in-chief lawyer Mark Elias would be rotting in some Club Fed. Since he isn't, know that he has tried and succeeded. Using the same legal system that Trunp appealed to, but without success. Ironically, because that great Trump supporter US Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito said "No way, Jose!" when the decision reached the district level in Trump's case in Pennsylvania (because Alito is in charge of that district).
It is time for some Agip-prop, if you'll excuse the pun. Last time I checked, there was brief instability in the prediction markets, but the odds haven't changed. Gas is still over $3.50/gallon in most of the US. The stock market just sharted, which could be the first sign of a dump.
To those who are not you and who are openly gloating...I hope you enjoy your childish behavior, but eventually reflect on it. Here is Chris Rock on those who celebrated the OJ verdict, with a point I hope reaches you:

They love law and order and democracy as long as it's not their heroes losing and going to jail for crimes.

Yes, the battle lines have been drawn. When Trump returns to power, and he will, then he will have whatever mandate he wants. Rightfully so. This is where the fun begins. Dems have drawn blood, and now will go silent on the streets. just like the jurors who held no presser.
Now, if the Democrats assassinate him, which is likely, to prevent him from coming to power.
or try to rig the election by keeping him off ballots or electors exposing disease, then that does not end it either. there is a long succession of Trumps, and there will be one going back and it will not be pretty.
There is no rage by MA6A, because this sham does not weaken the movement nor mean anything in the grand scope. This only strengthens their resolve. and now blacks and Hispanics and normal people not yet infected are joining. the cult is growing and it’s a beautiful thing for the World.
Prepare to be disappointed, again the SCOTUS isn't in the business of bailing out individuals. They consider the long term ramifications of each ruling. Trump SOL.
Nobody expects him to go to jail. He'll get probation and a fine, which he'll pass on to his slack jawed followers. His appeal won't happen before the election.
Now go find more stupid memes, to soothe your frayed nerves. You impotent clown.
“This Conviction Is Going to BACKFIRE on Democrats” The DNC feels like it has a candidate that cannot win fair and square in the polls. And so, they have to win in the courts. They have to win by clearing the deck and getting their other opponents out of the race.”
“I think every time that President Trump has been indicted that his approval ratings actually increase, his popularity increases. I think there is a large number of Americans who are going to see this as the politicization and the weaponization of the enforcement agencies. And I think it’s going to hurt. It’s bad for our democracy.”- RFK Jr

You're pitiful. The guy is going to lose by a large margin.

Bring back mean tweets, amiright!
As I said before, this NYC kangaroo court/witch hunt will be the biggest backfire in modern political history. Trump's popularity is soaring.
Trump is winning in Nov. That is the only verdict that matters.

He already got away with it. None of those trials are happening. They chose the one to bring against him that won't result in jail time; he knows he's safe.
And the notion that a trial shouldn't have taken place just because he's a presidential candidate is literally the problem.
I agree with all of that except for the enriching part. If Truth Social is still worth billions to Trump once he can legally take money from it, then I'll agree, but not yet. During his presidency, his reported net worth actually dropped from 3.1 billion to 2.6 billion, and I maintain it is likely much lower than that.
I believe it was this same court that found the Central Park 5 “guilty”
how did that work out? eventually good prevails. Then the story will
be Convicted felon overturned on appeals, and the beat goes on
"Better not form a Grand Jury or there will be a Civil War. Oh, well, better not indict him or there will be a Civil War. Oh, well, better not arrest him or there will be a Civil War. Oh, better not prosecute him or there will be a Civil War. Oh, better not convict him or there will be a Civil War. The New York truckers will stage a boycott!" Yeah...all nonsense.
You can spout all the exceptions you want. This case wasn't a misidentification. There are audio recordings, bank records, corroborating witnesses, handwritten notes from the CFO detailing how this was to go down.
In New York, there's a layer for Trump to appeal to before it would go to the Appeleate Court, and then the AC doesn't even have to take it up if it doesn't want to. I THINK it should though just because it is such a high-profile case. What is likely to happen is that there might be a handful of those FELONIES that get wiped away, but he's not going to get an acquital. He's now a convicted felon, and that's how history will label him.
