1) The Trumper fools (here and elsewhere) who are relying on inflation to be a selling point for them in the 2024 election really need to regroup. It's down to 3% now and still with momentum to fall further. Non issue. Biden even has the perfect answer..."I got the Inflation Reduction Act passed, and inflation fell every month for over a year, and now we're back to historic norms." All of that is true even if the Inflation Reduction Act had nothing to do with the falling inflation rate.
2) I have changed my opinion about one thing, so I will declare it here. I had long agreed with people who said that the best thing for Democrats would be for Trump to be the nominee again for the GOP. I agreed that that was likely true but at the same time still didn't want him to be the nominee simply because I didn't want to risk ANY chance that he could catch lightning in a bottle a second time. I now believe that any of the current crop of GOP candidates would fare worse than Trump in a general election against Biden. I still believe Trump won't win and can't win under normal circumstances (Biden would have to die a few days before election day or something nuts like that), but I do now believe Trump has a better chance to win for the GOP than any other candidate. This change is due to the realization that members of the GOP are so unbelieveably stupid and insane. I knew you were all stupid and insane, but the level of both has been proven to be higher than even I thought.
3) Chris Christie is a smart reasonable person. I don't agree with him on most policy issues, but he wouldn't be the worst President ever. He can never get elected though because he's too fat. Trump is also obese, but Christie is even more obese. GOP voters are out of their minds for not considering a person like Christie. Christie, Sununu, Hogan, Kasich...all would be reasonable people to bring sanity back to the party. But NOOOOOOOO...gotta keep worshipping the most criminal sinful man ever to be President of the United States.

Trump was impeached twice and was found not-guilty twice. He was vindicated. He has been indicted twice and will be found not guilty again. Perhaps call him the Teflon Don but no charges ever stick with him. Maybe because he never did anything wrong? Remember Richard Jewell? People were positive that he was guilty. What happened - oh, he was ultimately cleared of all charges. So too will Donald Trump. You don't have to like Donald Trump but respect the law. He is innocent until he is found guilty.
