Started running again last October on very low mileage and then started NSM in January, then ran a 18:36 5k in February HR avg. 181, 5k in April 18:18 HR avg 177 (much warmer day), and 10k in May 38:21 during a workout HR avg 171, with a bit left in the tank, kept running 7 miles after.
Last 12 weeks have averaged 6 hours and 8 minutes of running per week, with mostly 20-25% subT.
I'm starting sirpoc's marathon build this next Monday, but only running 85% of the minutes he ran. This will average 6 hours and 44 minutes for the 14 week build. I don't think I'll race 2 5k's, a 10k, and half marathon, but I'll do harder than subT efforts when he did those races. I reduced a little of the subT to keep it under 25%, kept all medium long runs and LR's the same time he did. Reducing some of the easy runs to less time as well to keep it at 85% of total weekly minutes. Lowest week is week 10 at 330 minutes total, 5:30, and highest is week 13 at 450 minutes, 7:20.
Anyone see any issues with this? Longest run so far has been 14.6 miles, a different run was shorter and hilly, but 125 minutes total. Aiming for sub 3 hours, but definitely need to long runs and endurance for this. Currently battling the heat and humidity of the southeast, also could lose a lot of weight, 185 on a good day unfortunately. Wish I could attach an image of the excel spreadsheet of the total plan.
