Robert Nichols Clearly the post on Letsrun is in a different time zone listing than the one here. As you can see I posted the link on this page at 11:01. I believe that this was 11:01AM PST. I don't know what time zone the letsrun marker is in. Can someone verify. Because if it was 12:15EST then it occured before the one on this page.

Could be. It could be someone (have no idea why he insists it was Matt) pasted it on letsrun after RW. Whoever Ahole elites was, they were pro-Bob and anti-runner. What's Bob's point here? The post, likely written by Bob's girlfriend, was pro-Bob. Some of us accused Ahole of being Bob, but Ahole never pretended to be Bob and it certainly didn't slander him. Bob's own posts under Rdsurfingmadonna and under CPA were enough to make assessments.

Again, this would fade away if Bob would just let it go.

You're right, but that ain't going to happen now that he's thrown Matt Slocum a bone to get his teeth in to, assuming Matt isn't the phantom poster of course.

Also, why wouldn't the board member identify themselves, what's the problem?, after all Bob likes RW and not LR because:

On RW it was a "board member" posting with the charity's facebook, probably Megan M. It was too well-written and reasonable to be by Bob. Don't know why the board member didn't identify herself individually.

I figured Megan or Bob posted it on letsrun from Bob's computer but forgot to change Bob's name of "Ahole elites". But it could be someone else who took Bob's side and posted first as Ahole elites and then just copied and pasted the post from RW with no introduction.

You can assign letters to the IP so you do not expose them to hacking but it would allow a picture to emerge of who has beet posting as who(m?)on the tail end of the thread.

I'm not an elite runner but I have won a few local races and there is a personal reltationahip to winning cash and the RD. this is not about who did what and what was advertised wrongly and poor 23 year old elites who just finished college (I worked with college students full time for 8 years and this is a good life lesson for them by the way). It's about doing the right thing. If someone asks u for something back that was based on a big misunderstanding it's human kindness and personal integrity that should guide the way. First, because being motivated by money never makes u content. And two because I genuinely care for the RDs who put on races. Character is a reward. These are great life lessons and even very skilled people like fast athletes must learn them.

In these moments I think of great men of history and how they would have acted. I cant see Lincoln or Rooselvelt or Jesus

Or Washington or Rev. King keeping money that was gained through the folly of another.

And it's about doing the right thing by asking in the right way, if this Bob character spoke to me the way he did to the OP and threatened a legal course of action I would have to told him to "go for it and now feck off".
