obviously Joe was talking about how Obama and Biden had to deal with the aftermath of the Great Financial Crisis, which the Republican president Bush2 left in Obama's lap. The auto industry was basically bankrupt and Obama and Biden had to figure out how to save it. Just a mispeak.
Just like Biden had to deal with the COVID recovery and inflation that Republican Trump dumped in his lap.
Just like Clinton had to deal with the recession/slow growth/inflation dumped in his lap by Bush1. Bush1 left Bill with 4-5% inflation.
Democrats always have to clean up the messes Republican presidents leave. It's just the way we do things here in the US of A.
