This is getting interesting. Assuming Putin doesnt use nukes which is very possible as they increasingly look more inept by the day and may have to save face, Putin will be getting precisely the opposite of everything he set out for. Does anyone think Ukraine wont build up their eastern front permanently now? If they werent going to do it before, they will now! Two countries and counting that joined NATO directly because of this invasion, right on their border. What a historical flop. Every country touching Russia to the west is now cozying up with NATO and sure to build up their military on the border. The biggest worry in my mind is now how bad is Russia willing to look? If they start looking too bad or perceive themselves to be under threat, they will have their excuse to use Nuclear weapons.

in addition, Kazakhstan is now pushing away from RU for the first time since the USSR broke up. I'm sure other former soviet republics are thinking the same thing.
RU could be losing its sphere of influence, its army and its money all in one go.

which might be exactly true as RU has stopped advancing and UKR seems to be pushing into occupied territory.

This war already has been won by Russia. There is no counter-offensive, you can't conduct it with HIMARS and Ukraine has nothing else.
This fall / winter the will of Europeans to support Ukraine will be tested through INSANE price jumps for everything. And I am telling you, people already are very unhappy and the show hasn't even begun yet.
