Duh! Everyone is vulnerable. It’s a marathon. No 5k and you recover quick, and it’s down to how things go on the day. Are you ill? Off day? Great day where everything clicks (I remember mine, not on this level alas). Rupp is. But also Ward, Lagat, Fauble, Walmsley, Korir. That’s why, on the day, you race. And the marathon eats those who pace badly or feel badly. I do think Rupp will do well though. But we shall see.
