Interesting. Most high school track meets in Iowa include only 1 sex.

That is interesting and as far as I can tell very rare. But maybe less rare than I know.

In an open chess tournament, they just have "rating" categories, and give out prizes for the winners of each based on past performances. If they did the same thing for athletics, it would not only get rid of the dispute over deciding who can be classified "female", but it would also encourage more participation by introducing categories for people who are newer to the sport and are not competing at as high of a level. Just base the prize/award categories on PB in the last and current season. When you register for an event, you can choose your category to compete in based on your past or current season PB. If you've never raced that event before, then you can choose any category.
I agree, but add in the qualification that the athlete must be capable of becoming pregnant or giving birth.
Fair then?
I mean, that's a statement that doesn't refer to any particular gender but which discriminates against one sex vastly more than another. It just happens to be the female sex this time.
Like how it feels?
It does not work. Otherwise a 28 minute 10k guy could make hos marathon debut against women. Or he could run his first marathon with his girlfriend in 4 hours and then run another one a month later in 2:10. Some of these races pay $50k.

Look at chess. The same situation could apply, yet this is how it is done and it works. If you have performance categories, you would obviously pay out way bigger prizes for higher performance categories, so if this 28 minute 10K guy wants to run in the novice/unranked category for the marathon, he can go ahead and he's not going to get much of a reward for it, and yet, it will only work for 1 marathon and after that he'll have to compete in higher ranked categories based on his performance.

Chess = Sport

That you want to take sports away from women is bizarre. It makes no sense and there must be something in your personal experiences that makes you dislike women.
Nothing about this system would lead to the exclusion of women. This system would be more inclusive to women, plus many other groups that are currently excluded, plus protect women's competition from transwomen who perform at a much higher level than other women. There is no preventing the women who compete in an open track meet with this system to also be given special awards for "top woman" in their category or overall at the meet. This system creates a larger depth of field and incentive for all people of all performance levels to join. Your assertion that this proposal is anti-woman is complete nonsense. You don't like my comparison to chess, but this same system has been used in competitive swimming as well. When I was a kid doing competitive swimming there were A, AA, AAA, AAA+ categories based on your past performance and a novice could come into swimming and still win at the A category, even though there were many kids above his performance level. What is the reason to segregate girls and boys and the child level? Many girls crush the boys. This segregation of the sexes is totally pointless and based on old conservative sexist cultural values stemming from a time when "women playing sports" was hard to accept, very well putting women in with the boys.
