I think Derek secretly blames Letsrun for "causing" Frank Mesa's death instead of his numerous articles that kept hounding Meza on a national scale along with the other news outlets. That's why Derek said he will no longer post on LRC. He has real bad logic outside of time splits.

Ditto. What she should do is to swear out a complaint for misdemeanor battery and let Tommy explain to a jury how it was all in good fun.

This was from a Halloween Party. This photo does not give anyone who wants to permission to slap her ass at any time.
This guy does it in front of dozens and on camera. This is bad behavior but not the type where she felt intimidated because she was not in a dark alley or he did not hold some type of authority over her. If a football coach slaps all of his players on the butt, that is probably worse because a player would worry about ramifications if they complained. Yet we witness that behavior on national television.

Quite frankly, I am deeply disturbed and offended by the gorilla noises. It reminds me of the time I was sexually assaulted while locked up in a gorilla cage. I can't believe that the TV stations allows those types of gorilla mating calls to be aired. But I guess it's ok when a female gorilla does it.
It was certainly a dumb thing to do.
I think sometimes we do things in the heat of the moment but to have the nerve to smack a stranger (a woman) in the but does technically mean sexual assault.

I think it was quite an ignorant thing to do and he crossed a line. It also makes you wonder what else he may have done that hasn't been captured on camera.
Based on his actions alone, I think 30 days in jail seems reasonable. Harsh but reasonable. The only way I would consider no jail for him would be some kind of lengthy community service and course in public conduct or something of the like.
He's already going to suffer from the internet. 30 days is my sentence for him, maybe he could serve it on weekends? Or not, it was a serious offence in that he thought nothing of doing what he did.
He is an a-hole but he didn't stab her or murder anyone (that we know of)

You must also be one of those Derek Murphy jerk offs that loved his article where he doxxed the hobby jogger that legitimately ran a marathon. The hobby jogger's crime that Murphy was judge, jury, and executioner for? He picked up two finisher medals at the finish line instead of just one!
Derek Murphy is not a god. He has been wrong quite often and think he doesn't stink. He also has no sense of proportionality nor hypocrisy, and rushes to a conclusion before adequate research, like in this case.
Just point out again that the POTUS has assaulted likely many more women than this guy, lets not forget that.
Not defending what this guy did in any way, but it really seems odd that we live in a society where the POTUS
