I want all American runners to do well. Running is not a private sport, but is very public. It is my business to be concerned with the sport and those that participate.
I also support the Hong Kong freedom protests as long as the violence isn't directed against innocent bystanders.

Impressive times this year. Looks the weather was perfect. Both winners ran strong negative splits: 63:06-61:54 for Rono and 71:40-70:36 for Masai. Is the second part a bit downhill compared to the first part of the race ?

Weather was perfect but the first half is much faster. First half is 2k uphill, 2k flat, 6k downhill, 10k flat. Plus you have all the half marathon runners which makes it easier.
Second half is lonely and quiet from 20.5km to 32, and rolling hills especially from 32-41.
Depending on your strengths its not that hard. Rono also has plenty of experience on this course.

Agree with your assessment of my limited mental sharpness, that's why I'm on LRC for therapeutical reasons. Thanks for pointing out my flaws. If I'd go to a real professional they'd charge money I don't have. Freedom of expression is never really free, but sometimes you can find the less expensive outlets.
