He's broken it open. 9:12 high with 1600 to go.
Isn't it amazing that this meet is on NBC gold? Do they even broadcast horseraces practicing?
Can we get all Kenyan-Americans in 2020.

I know you are talking about Hiltz, but also about a 4 second PR for Hurta. I think this is two seasons in a row where a CU athlete that was red shirting goes out and blazes an NCAA leading time competing unattached (Dani Jones did it last year at Pre, Hurta does it this year). Kind of defeats the purpose of a red shirt if you are throwing down times that would win nationals.
What's going on with Bowerman TC... gee...

Watching Murphy run just 1:46 makes me want to yell out to these guys. "Hey, the DL has started, 1:46 is good for college but not pros."
Yeah, the start of the DL season also started 150 days away from the world championships, college runners are peaking for a meet in 21 days

You're probably the sort of bum who claims here that anyone slower than you is a hobby jogger.
That was Kyle Langford's first outdoor race this year after missing most of last year and this winter. I didn't watch the race but it looks like it was a bunched up finish behind Clayton Murphy. Kyle was a World and Commonwealth Games medalist at the age of 21 and is still only 23. I hopefully don't think I need to tell you who Nick Willis is, but he's 36 and also coming back from injury and exploring a move up to the 5000m.

Lol to the guy who said that Elijah and Tim's 3:32 lows at Doha for first and second were bad results while excusing Langford's poor run for it being his first outdoor race of the year. That's rich. You can't stop from contradicting yourself haha.

Can we talk about this 1500 real quick and how cold that preview was? Yall keep sleeping on kirubel but this is the second race in a row he’s beaten Drew Hunter going back to the 5000 at Payton Jordan. Clayton Murphy comes in dead last for this heat, given he was doubling back from a hard fought 800. Prakel seemed to be a non factor as well. Rojo, let me write the preview next time. First I gotta figure out who the hell Kalle Burgland is though

Lawi ran 13:20's last year too in one of his few good races. He's got to show me a little more than that and a little consistency to say he's back.
Berglund owns the Swedish NR for the indoor 1500m having ran 3:37 this year and ran 3:36 last year or the year before that outdoors. Also has ran 1:46 for the 800. 23 years of age. Big prospect.
Wow, what a horrible day for NOP. Some will say it's just a rust-buster but they are usually "on" every time they race.
Nick Willis 13:49?
