How are you defining "mid" here? Is this one standard deviation from the mean or something like that?

Just simple thirds: front-pack, middle-pack, back of the pack.

Shoe is made to help elite runners become more efficient. If you already don't have a decently efficient form, you're not gonna get much more benefit scientifically. It's not going to be the whole difference you need to finally break 4 hours in the marathon. It's all in your head. Sorry m8.

I am a 3-hour-ish guy and usually take between t15-25 position in marathons I race depending on size.

On-topic: the Vaporfly may not make me “faster” but I recover from the marathon a lot faster than I used to — running 15 miles at 1min below marathon pace just 7 days later in most cases.

You run 6:52 pace for the marathon and 7 days later you run 5:52 pace for 15 miles? In training? If you can run 5:52 pace for 15 miles, you may be under-performing at the marathon.

On topic: How do you get these through the app? They're going to sell out, so how do you mamizie you're chances.

They weren't taped and they've been around since 2018. I'm more interested in what JH was wearing. Orange like everyone else, but with a different sole.

They will be available soon to the public. But there is not requirement by the IAAF to release all equipment used to the public. The UCI for cycling does, but nothing in running. Happens often for elites to get one-offs of shoes.

In terms of volume/width how does the VF compare to Reebok floatride runfast? As someone who has enjoyed training in Brooks Launch the RFRF looks like the racer counterpart at an unreal sub 7oz

Actually, I bought the shoes specifically to wear to marathons to watch as a fan. They give me such quickness in crossing the street without disturbing the race, and my hand clapping has improved much more than the stated 4%. Plus, standing for hours and hours so I can laugh at all the midpackers running 2:30s and slower is no longer a chore with all the ZoomX foam to cushion my feet. Now I can last to the real losers running 4 hour marathons. Who even shows up if they run that slow? Once I slowed to 2:15, I knew my time was done. Just accept you're a has-been and stop racing!!
