The equivalent term to "chicked" for being beat by a master's runner?

Yeah most of the posters in this thread are total losers. They obviously were not good runners when they were young or else they would not care about this nonsense.

The reality is; the largest running group in our country's history are people in the 45-65 span

Therefore, it is more likely that good runners would come from those age groups.

Soon, the 20's and 30's will progress in age, and will continue to celebrate their mediocre running resume of 17:30's.

I'm over 60, running about 1:40 for a half these days. Uh, half marathon that is, ha ha.

Yeah it's slow but it's still fun, kids. Yes, it's slower than an easy day when I was 20, but it's still a pleasure to do it.

I will say this, some of the baby runners are pissed if they notice that an old f#ck just beat their sorry as#ses! But most people are really nice.

Got rolled by a 59 year old Tommy Hughes at Rotterdam the other week (20 years older than me). Went by me so fast I thought he was doing the relay!!

2:30:15 was his time and I think it was a single age World Best for 57-58-59 year olds!

First time I got "chicked" was by Kim Jones.

I remember referring to the experience (getting chicked) as getting "hot sauced"... still use it today.

For masters men, it was "ghosted" ....

I've only taking part in a handful of 5K Parkruns (which are supposed to be 'time trials' rather than races) and I've learned already that some young guys really don't like to be beaten by older runners, especially not outsprinted at the end.

Experienced the same thing when I trained at an MMA gym and got the better in sparring with guys nearly 30 years younger.

Seems it's a few younger runners who object to this lighthearted thread. Not sure why. I doubt anyone is objecting to the 'chicked' term for when a woman beats a male runner.

I'm still too slow for it to matter if somebody much older than myself beats me, but I hope to get to the point where if I see a grey haired septuagenarian go past me then I can think - 'wow, that dude is really good, maybe he's a Master's record holder?'.
