Is Adidas going to get in the game? Doesn't seem like their sub2 shoes made any splash.
I was thinking the other day if Adidas just replaced the parts of sole the Takumi that use regular eva foam with the floatride foam from Reebok (which they own) they might get another 1% out of it, then bring back the "proplate" into production for another 1% (but make it optional)
but ironically Adidas started all this with the "proplate" in 2006, set some world records and then in 2007 IAAF, said "um no, no technical aids like springs"
So Adidas killed production. Then Oscar Pitorious sued IAAF, who then weaked the rule and Nike started looking at how they could take back the marathon WR, hence vaporfly project, moonshot project, and decided if they just flooded the market with carbon springs, people would adopt them so quickly that it would drown out any protest. Apparently they were right. Adidas should have done the same and history would be different.

Yeah, but then their wondershoe killed Rupp's foot. It's only Rupp, but still.
