It took 100 years for 4 high schoolers to break 4 in the mile in the US. We have had 5 guys do it in 5 years. Those guys are all like 20 years old. The US is better than ever.

You guys keep talking about the Olympics, which took place in 2016, and is not the most recent championship games
The most recent championship games are the 2017 World Championships, were the mean sucked. After winning silver in the Oympics, Paul Chelimo took home a bronze in the WC. Jager went from a silver to a WC as well. Paul said he was going to take Mo down. He didn't. Jager was the favorite going into the WC, because the Kenyans didn't look so good going into the WC. He took home a disappointing bronze as well.
And the men were non-existent in the other distance events.
The women had an outstanding WC in the 800, 1500, Steeple and Marathon.
And so far this year, the trend continues with the men being terrible and the women excelling.

2:18 looked into the crystal ball from the bud commercial and saw Devon Dixon run 1:42 at the 2020 Olympics. Then he finished the last event with a low 43 leg on the 4x400 . He will go 1:43 at NCAA in 2019. Don't give up on Brazier yet.
That’s sounds pretty harsh that to discredit their achievements at the last Olympics, even though it was only 2 years ago and the USA produced pretty good results. Just because they didn’t do well at last years world championships doesn’t mean anything. They might do well again next year, but who knows. I just wouldn’t write them off yet...
