Apparently people lie on national television about their running speed:

Bolt's average speed over the course of his 2009 Berlin 100 m race was 37.58 km/h or 23.35 mph.
"22 miles an hour for 5 seconds".
Um, no.
You must be a teenager.
It is a well known fact that Tom Cruise is much faster than Usain Bolt. In fact, he can even out run a lot of cars.

I'm a slightly above-average sprinter and usually split ~3.3 for a flying 30. This is equivalent to 30 ft/sec, or ~20.4 mph. My fastest flying 30 is 3.22, which is still under 21 mph. I usually run in the low 12s for the 100, though I have (barely) broken 12 a few times.
I've only personally come across three women who might be able to outsprint me. They are all phenomenally talented D1 athletes who've been training for years, and their running form is completely different than any actress I've seen.
She needs to put up or shut up. I am willing to bet $50K that she cannot beat me in either a 60 or a 100 meter sprint, and she can train as much as she wants. Just name a time and place, and I'm ready.
+1

How is she snobby? She's Canadian, and obviously Tom Cruise has confused her on the MPH to KPH conversion. Whatever the case, I'd wager she's still fasterthan any of the people posting here, and definitely better looking, so you lose either way.
You are correct about being better looking. But please stay on topic.

You mean someone who cares enough about running that when non-runners make false claims, I speak up? In this world, there are plenty of things to not give an F about. We have to choose what's important to us and what to give an F about. You could claim that this is something not to give an F about, and for the most part you're right. It's worthy only to the degree of sharing it on a running-related website to discuss casually for a few minutes.
That said, I still think her statements about running are full of crap.
