So doot doot, you are an elite?
Negative. But I sure glide along effortlessly across mid-/forefoot at all my training paces as if I were elite. Pretty effortlessly to be honest. Just practicing the fundamentals, you know. I spent a lot of time in my foundational running years learning correct form drills and implementing them and saw substantial gains very quickly. I get a lot of compliments from the local runners I interact with ??♂️

Props to the people patient enough to deal with them. Is foot strike the end all be all to successful running? No. Is correcting one's form in a responsible and deliberate fashion going to yield benefits to the average runner? Duh.
I agree with you for the most part. But I was very impressed by an article written by the editor of the old Running Times. He said that foot strike was the ending result of a lot of other things. It does not come first. Hip position, head alignment, use of the arms driving backwards, and other things determine your final use of the ankle. Head, hips, knees, ankles, feet, and toes.
