Go to the career fairs. Figure out who wants to hire a physics Ph.D from Stanford (there are plenty of them), and ask them what skills and abilities it would take for them to hire you. Start applying for those jobs your first year, and don't be afraid to quit school early.

No, I don't work in GLAM. I'm frightened that there are this many letsrunners around me in real life. I may have to move to a new state.
Seriously how are there this many letsrunners on here. I thought you were someone who ran in college at a d1 school and now works in glam... do you know who I am talking about?
