Why are you wetting yourself over Scott's run in Oslo when you dismissed the time set by Coe on same track for 800wr?
You say the track's bends are too tight for Coe's time to be legit, which of course is rubbish, as in fact the shorter but tighter bends has an overall negative effect on overall time, but make no allusion to it in a hyperbolic assessment of Scott's performance on the same track!
A bit of consistency please!
As an aside, Coe's 1:42.3 in Oslo was indicative of the first sub 1:42. Not only did the tight turns slow him down by a tenth or two, but his ridiculously fast 3rd 200m of 24.8, after a previous one of 26.0 was very inefficient.
Smoothly drafted to bell in 50.0 with 24.7, 25.3, rather than the 24.6, 26.0 he got, would have resulted in the first sub 1:42.
