Who has ever documented humans as a species regularly outrunning horses as a species?

A couple of elite endurance guys outran some mediocre horses that were probably cart or plough horses and that sets some myth in motion.

I can assure you that the first domesticated horses were not captured by guys running them down.

Also- just because horses can outrun men doesn't mean they can run 26.2 miles under 2 hours. Yes, horses bred for long distance can probably run way under that, but it's at least an interesting question- your reasons are either irrelevant or a misunderstanding of the discussion. Probably because you are dumb and your parents were unfit to raise children.

First, we domesticated horses for lots of reasons- they serve as pack animals, and they allow us to travel long distances without using our own energy. If a horse could only run a 3:00 marathon, we'd still domesticate them, and they'd still be useful, so your first point is irrelevant.

Second, "men regularly outrunning horses" is not the question. The question is whether a horse could break 2:00. If horses can only run 2:10, for example, that's still better than almost all humans. Obviously horses can outrun humans at most distances, but it's at least worth pondering whether a horse can run longer than 15-20 miles without stopping for a rest.

I wonder if you just go around calling people "morans" in real life instead of just being a civil human being. My guess is that you're either a depressed coward who takes out his frustration online in his mother's basement, or you're 12. Take care!

we don't know that. I know nothing about Arab long-distance horse racing, but the horse world in general is notorious for doping.

Geese that can flap their wings nearly as fast as a humming bird? Do you have any video's of this? It would be cool to see.
