Name some stupid things most people do automatically

Sports fans that act as if every game is a life or death matter. Ask them who won the Super Bowl two yeats ago. They don't know.

Also, getting all mad over your team allegiance.

If so, some stupid things most brick and mortar retailers (people) do automatically:

inflate prices outrageously (full price), so that the sale price will then still be high, and then any additional discount "event" actually brings the item to a reasonable but still lousy price. This has been happening with podunk corporate retailers for years and years and happened just recently with a retailer I unfortunately work at but am leaving. We have a period of time where we get the best possible discount and it turns out even after that, some of my items were/are cheaper on Amazon. These corporations have the software and the office jockeys calculating all the bullsh!t pricing games. The office jocks get paid a little better but still, what a miserable sh!t existence. A stark reminder that most of our nation is engaged, mostly, on a day to day basis, in finding new and better and more productive ways of doing the "same-old" bullsh!t and tricks. (and we're better off than other nations, of course, still)

True progress is an uphill battle. Like hours spent in running training. A great break through is the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, and misery, humiliation, obscurity and failure is the guarantee until then.

For years I've been running while playing in my head the rhythmic "fork, spoon, fork, knife, ..." but I like your idea so much better: "left, right, left, right". Except when I'm in Canada I'll use "left, hoser, left, hoser, ..."

Yep, before using this trick my compulsive dyslexy often did hurt like fork,knife,fork,knife,knife,knife, , ,fork and then plate - 5 letters for the fall.

No more bruises, now. Except when in Canada (it's been a while but I guess they still don't have numbers; I'm glad to have moved away).

Guys trying to be guys (which is good-naturally so) but emulating girls constantly saying the word like like like as if they dont know how to be a man and say something definite. I have lived in NYC (undoubtedly the city with the highest taxi use of any American city), and I have never heard anyone do this.

I also live in NYC and have never heard this.

Respond to texts on their phone even if they are with other people. I saw a guy drop the door on his girlfriend coming out of a store because he got a text.

The "close door" button is used in manual mode. You see they different keyed switches on the panel. When in manual or fire dept. mode the button must be held until the door is completely closed.

All elevators are not the same so maybe "Elevator Repair Man" works on different elevators than I have worked on, or maybe his elevator doesn't go to the top floor.
