hey - who is going to show up to the April 8-9 UD Invitational. The talk is that many alumni are making their heralded returns

I STILL don't buy the hype about Riley. The man simply was not as good as advertised.

i would be interested to know who else is still running too. Anyone else get better in or after college, but were only decent in high school?

Thanks for the nod Schmitty, though I am indeed far from fastest Delaware (or the mecca as it known in NC) has to offer. As for NikeXC I don't know who you are, but my best guess is your someone I stomped on the track in high school and your still bitter.

No shit he was being sarcastic, Schmitty is a friend of mine. He runs for UNCG, where I used to run.

And you'd be surprised, when I was in high school in Delaware 9:56 really did stomp the majority of the state. Now thats not me saying that 9:56 is fast, because obviously its far from it.

Biggest downside to that party was the lack of chicks. Well, there was one......

One time a runner from the University of Delaware named Rob Monroe ran an 8:40 3k there, he could not walk for days. He has also said numerous times that he heard my name being chanted at him from people in the stands this very race.

I graduated from UD, and in my opinion, there is way to much partying and laziness for almost all athletes at that school. UD has the potential to be a top Division 1 A school, but until the athletes, especially runners, learn that partying and running dont mix, the team will only being running high 25 min 8k's and slower, when they could be running 24's like most other top 25 division 1 A schools. Coach F is a great coach, but the athletes have to decide whether they want to win it all, or settle for wins at meets such as there own meets at white clay, which dont mean much. just remember what place the team came in at the great american invite, not anywhre near what it could be.
