You do understand how Union political contributions work right? The problem with Citizen's United is that one billionaire at the head of a corporation can buy a politician that will respond to them and do things where only they or their company benefits from. When unions contribute their contribution is often made up of thousands of individual donors who do different types of jobs that usually do not have super high salaries. Also, if you follow labor at all, you would know Democratic candidates don't always have the backs of union members.

Fact check how many individual union members involve themselves in the political process and see the power of their coming together.

Bernie's representation (or yours on his behalf) that he only takes contributions from individual donors is blatantly false. Unions are not individuals.

My corporation (and most others) donates through PAC's, in exactly the same way as the unions do.

And, yes, I also know how unions work. They force people, like teachers, to join the union in order to participate in their chosen profession and force them to pay dues. Dues that the union bosses use to contribute to further their own agenda, regardless of what the individual union members desire....We'll see how the pending case plays out. May spell doom for this way of life.

Interesting that he was a runner. I will vote Libertarian, as I usually do. It is now more than ever me voting "No". We need more choices in our elections, not just whoever the D and R put up for us. I agree with most Libertarian policies, but understand that it is just too idealistic for most people. Oh well, if enough people will vote 3rd party, the big 2 will have to listen sooner or later.

Right I forgot how unions force people to join. Unions are very successful in other parts of the world as voluntary organizations. If that case goes through I would hope workers see their collective power and how when they come together they can accomplish more than they can alone. Fair share dues exist now in the US because everyone reaps the benefit of the contract their coworkers bargain for. If you're a union member I suggest you give back any wage increase you've ever seen if you don't want to pay dues. Your corporation donates just how unions do? Mine has 11,000 members giving less than $10 a month. I would guess average pay is a lot less than what you all make at your corporation. We do what we can to push our collective agenda forward that we decide on in our union. Don't come at unions by just repeating anti union rhetoric. It's not quite the same when thousands of individuals express their collective power and do things they feel will work for the majority of Americans. One individual can write a check using money they get on their interest to balance out whatever we, 11,000 can give. That's the problem. That's what needs to be changed.

His entire life he's voted and stood up for equal rights for blacks, Hispanics, the poor, etc. I'm guessing that you probably think that so many cities are filled with poor black people because they don't want to work hard to earn a living, instead of hundreds of years of slavery, years of racist laws, and racist real estate policies. The country is currently set up to make the rich richer and the poor poorer, and Bernie is the only candidate who can actually attempt to go after the banks because he's not tied to them. If he actually won, it would be huge for voters and candidates in favor of honest politics.

Since I first became eligible to vote, I have voted in every Presidential election, every midterm election, every off-year local/state election, and every primary. I have somehow lived long enough to make that a lengthy voting history. I was brought up to regard voting as a serious responsibility -- it is perhaps not too much of an exaggeration to say I thought of voting as a sort of sacred duty for a citizen.

With all that in mind, I think 2016 is the year I quit. I can't keep the illusion going that it makes any difference or matters at all.

Climate change has always occurred. This is different than 'global warming'.

Nope, the poor are not getting poorer. Everyone is getting richer.

We are not talking about what he has stodgy for in the past. We are talking about what he stands for now. And that is not equal rights. It is equal outcome at the expense of others.
